How do I rank a one page website that is built on Wordpress?

Recently created a one page website that involves cryptocurrencies and their release dates and not too sure how to rank the website via Google. The website is built on Wordpress and I have Yoast SEO installed. Not too sure what routes I can take with this. Sure I can start a blog but what can really help a one page website pop off on Google.

Gotcha. As far as on-page SEO, what do you recommend for such a bare website? Not sure if you checked it out but it is quite bare as it is for the sake of simplicity.

You can only rank one page websites for very low competition terms.

You're targeting "coin market calendar".

It looks quite competitive in the top 4-5. Moderately so bottom of page 1, but who wants that?

#1 has 35k backlinks from 1.3k rds to the page ranking. You won't beat that one.

They're not really targeting "coin market calendar"

But google is clearly connecting that to "crypto calendar".

Your chances of ranking for this are slim.

You need to build topical relevance with content AND build lots of backlinks.

Really, no one can just answer here and tell you "how to rank" for this. It's like creating a thread and saying "How can I get customers to my restaurant"

I don't know... maybe you have 1 million articles and 1 million links lined up. LOL

there are so many ways to promote your site.
1. buy links. when buying links, you should pay attention to the sources where you buy them. because if you buy on some non-reputable sites, it can only hurt. you should also not buy a lot at once. do it gradually and follow the statistics.
2. write articles on your topic. if this is a cryptocurrency, then you should write articles about new currencies, about upcoming events. you should use keywords from queries in your articles.
these 2 points might help you, but in terms of google, it's a lottery. you never know what your action will lead you to success.

For it to rank it must be a very low competition keyword you targeting. Why not add some more pages with related content? Google doesn't give much love to one page websites.

It's a slow road I'm afraid.

Quality backlinks, drip them consistently over 2 years. Contextual.

Topically relevant content. Only choose articles that have searches and don't cannabilize, ie, don't have 2 articles targeting the same keywords. Internally link your content together with exact/partials.

That's the jist of it.

It's not stupid, it's relevant !
But Google can't just leave backlinks, they are a good way to know if the content worth it or no. It won't always work when the false linkbuilding is well done, but it works fine..

If your on page SEO is totally ok then you get some powerful backlink.

You need to learn how seo work and take action step slowly. Add quality content and build quality links. I dobut you rank with one page in 2020. It was possible few years back but not now unless the search term is low and there is no competition. You need to get build trust and authority.
