Does google sandbox expired domains ?

The only thing that expired domains without backlinks bypass is a common sense.

There's no "sandbox" as in "my domain can't rank for 3 months".

First months, whether your site is new or big expired domain with 1K RD are shit. They will most of the time always be shit. As the time passes, your content is getting older and around 2 - 3 month mark, if you did everything well, the site will receive a bump in Serps.

Then another comes after maybe 6 months, then another in like 9 etc. The bigger your domain in terms of backlinks, the bigger the bounce.

Branding... The last domain I bought was about $700 and I bought it as it was great brand domain for my niche. It wasn't expired but a great brandable domain.

The way to bypass Google's sandbox for new sites is simply to NOT use a new domain. Instead, start your site using an expired domain that's already indexed in Google Search and has gone through the sandbox period.People have been putting up new sites on expired domains for a while now.

Patience is the key friend. There is no such thing as sandbox.

Its a numbers game. Some domains take off from the start, others will move slowly and lag behind whatever you do. Thus if you have budget I would advice to create 2 - 4 projects simultaneosly and test which one of those gains its momentum faster. Choose the winner and make others part of your PBN.

It's stupidly easy to get out of the 'sandbox' on a new domain atm. Just keep submitting content to GSC 1 link at a time over the course of a about a week. If you are using WordPress, You can install Google's own WordPress plugin which I have a feeling (altho it's untested) gives you a slight advantage. Just make sure the content is high quality. And i don't mean bhw high quality i mean actual real high quality. (lol)

Simply check if it was used as a PBN or not,
check the content, links and if it was a real website or not, there's differences after all

how long does it take being expired to render it useless? Let's say archive.org shows a domain expired on 2016 and wasn't revived since, does this mean it will serve no purpose unless it has a backlink profile?

In fact, people have many arguments about if the domain age only helps to avoid google sandbox, how much time it has been indexed and some even say that age doesn't matter and all that's needed is the backlink profile

personally, I'll give the priority to the backlinks, but getting an indexed domain would be a good point as well

well i would think if a domain has a backlink profile thats still up it would then get that seo juice *slurp slurp* back and be a useful domain regardless of how long it's been inactive, right?

If the backlinks are still indexed themselves, then even if the domain is treated as a new one he will be benefited from these links,
what i really don't know if it will get the advantage of the age even if it has been deindexed since a while, i assume no, but who knows
