Has anyone compared the GD traffic estimates to what actual traffic is after the site is purchased (considering a 301 redirect or PBN)?

Don't trust godaddy stats, they are totally misleading and most of them just bots

the metrics they display likely come from ahrefs, moz etc. as for traffic estimates, they are just estimates, so just a guess as they can't tell the exact traffic stats without having tracking code on the actual domain.

I'm also suspecting expireddomains aren't the estimator. The estimation are likely coming from GD. I was hoping to find someone who has purchased based on traffic estimation and whether or not the estimates were close.

Anyone?

This was my assumption but I was hoping for verification.

E.g.: GD says there is 5000 daily traffic but after purchasing, the new owner realized it was only 1/10th the traffic.
I can live with that as long as I know if I should have ANY expectations or just disregard the metrics.

Additionally, I could easily just buy one a try it out...

More or less yes but you can always cross check right?

Godaddy only provides estimates, and even those are misleading just to get people to make a purchase.
