If you have budget then get a high End gaming laptop. Don't buy a heater. Problem with gaming laptop is their heating. Also With the amount you will get a Good gaming laptop, you can build a much better gaming cpu.

Wait for new GPUs to come to laptops and then buy if you are ready to spend over 3k on a laptop that would work like a 1.5k desktop.

Not if you are going to use Ubuntu though. The driver for ubuntu/linux is just pathetic, and buggy. Seen first hand.

I'll be booting Linux Mint (basically Ubuntu).
I love it! I can enjoy games at home or if I'm away, I can enjoy some WvW (go Tarnished Coast!) at the airport while waiting, or once I return to my hotel after an adventurous day, or if I want to just laze around the hotel room during the day time and toggle between work and play, or any number of other scenarios.
Imagine trying to go through security with a gaming PC tower and a monitor (no way in hell would I check any fragile computer hardware). I checked a laptop once (didn't have room in my carry-on luggage (HUGE mistake never again repeated)) and though I packed it perfectly, it was unpacked and I had a corner broken off of it the next time I saw it.
Now my carry-on luggage is centered around having my laptop with me at all times.

I'd recommend getting a pc instead. Gaming laptops are very overrated.

Once it arrives, I'll be pissed and extremely vocal about it if I feel it's overrated. Give me a few days to play around with it. If it's overrated, I will shitlist Amazon, so @mods, get ready.
Also, because of SL Rule #4, we should get it up to around 100 pages worth of shitlist, as I'd estimate that at least 25% of this forum are Amazon customers so we can all join in on the SL.
