As A Client What Now? A Question to mods

You're the one who's shit talking. As if you'd do a favor buying from BHW BSTs. No one forced you to join, no one is forcing you to buy from here. If you can't accept the risk then move along and buy from a place that you like. The mods here have been managing hundreds of BSTs successfully for years now.

No site is 100% secure, including freelancer type websites when it comes to digital services. You'll have to accept there is a of risk of getting scammed with each one of them.The only protection in that case is charging back. Do you really think people who get banned from freelancer/fiverr etc never join back those platforms? This is always going to be a limitation with these portals. You'll have to accept the risk, even if that means taking the L sometimes to learn a lesson.

So there is a guy who got banned from BHW for being disrespectful towards mod.
But my question is as a client. What now for us? he got banned his bst got banned and now he can just take away all our money and flee. What if he doesn't reply and all.
What if someone does that intentionally. Say something to mod and then gets banned takes away all the money. many of you will think its a sht idea but its worth the effort though.
I am not disrespecting any mods here just asking a normal question that i came up with while going through some stuff today.

What members see is the final warning reason, if it's mentioned.
This guy hypothetically could have racked up 10 or 15 warnings over his or her time on the forum.

If you are paying by Paypal or credit card and there's an issue, you can go that route for a refund if they have scammed you.


Here's a scenario.

You go to a store in a shopping mall and buy a laptop and pay for it and get a receipt.
The store owner gets evicted by the mall owners for breaching the rules.
Would you go to the mall owners and ask for a refund?

If sellers are offering good services then you'd hope they know how to act professionally.

We don't ban people without reason, but due your own due dilligence.

If a member joins, spams 99 posts asking for samples, discounts etc then upgrades to a Jr VIP on day 61......

I wouldn't nornally rejoice at a member getting scammed but, considering your attitude, all I can say is I hope he screwed you for every penny you ever had

If someone wants to run away, he can run away at any moment - he doesn't has to wait for his account to be banned.

The thing is with "other platforms" using the ones you outlined there freelancer/fiverr they are the middle man and handle the payment if the work is not delivered or goes wrong you have a fairly good chance of getting your money back even if it goes to mediation..

There is no escrow here.

HOWEVER

What I would say about BHW compared to other marketplaces is you can actually go and search the SL section for that seller see how many SL have been opened if any see how they handled that case, and how it was resolved rather than just looking at a 1 sided star rating system.

PLUS you can go and see post history see if they have been involved in the forum at all, how they conduct them selfs here and towards others..

Those two things alone outweighs an escrow service if you ask me. Example would I buy content off someone on here who has worse grammar and spelling than me when it comes to his/her posts? Would I buy SEO services if someone isn't helping or getting "likes" when replying to other members asking questions... that alone speaks volumes.

Comes down to risk at the end of the day but I think if you are willing to spend 20-30min looking into that seller before parting money with them it should aid in making that decision.

You name it, anyone from BHW sellers might turn, some are doing it right now, some were scammers and got banned.

No positive or negative account stat can vouch that a seller is or not a scammer.

No money chargeback can be done, PayPal or Credit Card, if the scammer decides to scam you, he will go with stealth account and move the money instantly.


Everything that you as a buyer can do is to analyze the seller from multiple angels, order small package or small service, and stay under the radar with prices.

So if you get scammed that won't be any higher amount than $200 max $300


I have suggested before, and I will re-create my suggestion and make better.

BHW needs buyer protection system that would be yearly paid. That system purpose should be alarming everyone via PM and emails about possible scams, and unlisted shitlists.


Example is: when some JR Vip who already is shitlisted is selling via PM to other members, even Mods are alerting hum to stop, but he keep selling.

Those who are willing to pay $50/year to get a buyer badge would know it instantly, @user @BST and I would also suggest that only JR Vip and other paid members can do review copy stuff.

Some free members can get free stuff of low quality (often) in exchange of review to some BST. That is so wrong!

Err don't know much about credit cards do you?

I assume something similar applies in most countries, however in the UK you have this thing called credit card protection it's not about recovering the money as a charge back the card company is equally as liable to protect you and recover you the money / return it to you even if the cost is put on them.

That's why in most cases of fraud it's brought on by the card companies..

yeah thats the part i am worried about like .. what if someone creates 5 accounts . and maintaines them for 3 months. gets jr vip. gets a bst approved. and scams from all accounts one by one.

Multiple accounts are not permitted on the forum and absolutely not on the marketplace. So they would be removed.

If a single bad actor gets through then you would contact the payment provider that you used to purchase the item and charge back for non delivery of product / service. Currently we don’t run escrow services. We endeavour to ensure that the product is as advertised and can actually be delivered by the OP.

We’ve made it clear many times.
Sellers are the same as other members. They don’t have special privileges just because they are blue. If they break the rules then we infract and then ban them if they continue to ignore the warnings. In this scenario you’d still expect to have your service delivered. They have an agreement between you, them and the payment provider. Non delivery = no money.
Considering the volume that goes through the marketplace it’s not a scenario that comes across my desk that often. Usually the seller is extremely keen to keep the customers they have after being banned and will bend over backwards rather than risk losing your custom.
