Made $30 on two articles today

Hey prasentjit,

As far as what to do with them, I've touched on it a number of times here in the thread and then fully explain how to handle them in my book. Did you register your account as US or non US?

Are they confirmed working US proxies? Are they private proxies?

Red, I've read about rejected articles in this thread & I also tried to tweak them but none of them were accepted. Thats why I was askin, If I delete those rejected articles will they know about rejection rate.
I have registered as an US account. But with non US proxy.:(

Yes I run them through proxy checker. I have tried anonymous, public proxy but none worked. Would you please give a suggestion. No havent tried private proxies though.

@prasenjit1857- I'm pretty sure that even if you delete those rejected articles that the A*C editiors would still know your rejection rate. I think the only way you benefit from deleting the rejected articles is if your are going to resubmit those same articles at a later time.

I don't really know anything about proxies so red will have to answer that one.

Hey I just noticed that when I used IE & opera (just now) those proxies worked & I was able to login. Firefox may be the reason. Is it so?

I read that proxies die quickly. So if I use a US proxy & replace with another US proxy, when it becomes non functioning. Will AC flag my account.
If yes can anybody suggest me some solution by which proxy remain valid for about 2 months or so.
Are anonymous proxies helpful?

@ mikemc - You can also try onlinejobs.ph, bestjobs.ph, fulltimeassistants.com, elance, scriplance, odesk etc.

With GAF, how many ads have you run? Have you used multiple accounts in order to get more bids coming in?

@ prasentjit - Yeah, it doesn't matter whether you delete after rejection or not, they will still be a part of your rejection rate.

Regarding your last post, I run FF and never have a problem logging in, but it is possible that there is some incompatability there. I assume you're clearing your cookies and cache prior to each time you try to log in right?

Regarding your question about using a different proxy when the last one stops functioning, if the proxies aren't PRIVATE US proxies then yes, there is a little more of a chance of having an account banned. In general though, just switching to a different proxy after the other stops working is fine.

Basically, your safest proxy solution will be private US based proxies from a supplier like Packetflip (see the Proxies subforum here at BHW). I actually just made a detailed post about proxy usage a few pages back in this thread in case you haven't seen it.

Regards,

Red

Hey Red, thanx for the advise. Actually I use the option in Firefox as
"Keep cookies until- I close Firefox."
Is it enough? I think clearing cookies is required if you are using more than 1 account, right?
Also I am planning to stick to 1 account at a time. So is it possible to use the same paypal address which I used for the previous account. (I have done similar thing previously also. One of my account was unverified. So I just edited paypal address of that account to an imaginary one & used the original 1 for my new account. & still i got paid for new account ). I was thinking to use the same method for my future new account. Is it possible?

Hello! I think it is great to encourage each other, so here goes....I got my second rejection. It was for not citing sources. First time that has happened. I was a little perplexed. I was given the option to delete or resubmit and cite sources. I went ahead and resubmitted. I was very surprised that AC offerred me $3.65 upfront for the piece. I did search through the forum for tips on how to cite, ran a search on AC for citing sources/embedding links, and reviewed the AC Submission Guidlines. All I can say is yes this is a massive thread, but it is loaded down with tips to help you succeed if you can't afford Red's book as of yet.

I do have a question for you all though: Let's say you find a site you want to use for source citing and it does not disclose the name of the person who wrote the info, do you just list title of article and site?
ex: "How to File for Divorce." AC. (no author listed on source cite)
RATHER THAN: Betty B00p. "How to File for Divorce." AC. I did not want to chance this, so I located a site that listed the author of the info. (abbreviated intentionally- I know to spell it out in the real) Thx.

@CPAmonster Have the articles been reviewed? You will not receive pymt or an offer until they are reviewed. Times vary on how long it takes. My personal experience is 24-72 hrs. Also when you did your submissions, did you click in the radial for upfront pymt.? I am sure someone here can help, but we need a little more info.

@Diamond Kitty- Yes, when there is no authors name listed, you just exclude the name and just write the name of the article and the website it was found at. I think A*C had an example on their how to site sources page of citing a source that has no author.

redtide, there seems to be a problem with my browser, it doesnt let me click on your name to PM you. Did I read somewhere your AC guide was only $17 for BHW users?

Can you PM me payment details please!

Folks, just to let you know, Redtide was decent enough to answer my above request in quick time and I picked up a copy of his book.

It's a detailed read, and explains step by step what you NEED to do, to make a living with AC, and HOW to do it. It covers

ACCOUNT CREATION and SAFETY
WHAT KINDS OF ARTICLES TO SUBMIT
WHERE TO GET THESE
HOW TO RE-WRITE THEM
WHERE, AND HOW, TO GET RE-WRITERS
HOW TO INCREASE PAYMENTS

Each of these subjects is covered extensively with examples, and helpful software and links are also included.

Anyone who is reading this thread over and over again, then going back to check something, then submitting and having a little joy with AC should get this guide. Puts everything in one place, and exlplains it all much better. Im sure redtide will also continue to offer support through here, but the guide is a MUST READ

itrader, rep and thanks added

much appreciated red

EDIT: Whatever problem meant I couldn't PM also means I cant hit the rep button. Maybe someone here knows why this is? Feck all happens when i hit the button

Couple questions:

If we only submit basically product reviews and comparisons, do you think A^C will care or "catch on"?

I had another question but forgot, sigh.

Hi Red

I already published a couple of articles in AC and I earned an average of $2-$3.50, I must say your e-book is amazing!! I'm just having a hard time finding topics or niche to publish. You're a legend man!! Keep it up :D

@ prasenjit - You're welcome mate,

You'll still want to clear cookies/cache to play it safe if you're out of the States, whether using multiple accounts or not. I prefer using CCleaner (it's free) as opposed to the cookie cleaning function in FF.

With your second question, if you're talking about using the same Paypal but with a different email addy attached, yes, it's what I've talked about doing all throughout this thread. ;)

Let me know if you mean something different than that.

@ CPAmonster - Like Diamond Kitty said, let us know more details. Did you hit "auto confirm payments" in your AC user profile? Without that they won't pay you.

@ Diamond Kitty - That's awesome, it goes to show that just because an article was rejected the first time, doesn't mean it won't be paid out on the next time. Thanks to tchashow for answering up the question you had about sources. ;)

@ CMS2009 - I have the same problem with PM's and other features of the forum since the last update that BHW admin made. I get around it by right-clicking on the features and hitting "open" instead of just regular clicking on everything like I normally would. Have you given that a shot?

Btw, thanks much for the kind words about the book, I hope you kick some ass with it! :D

@ mariopits - They do like people that are specialists in certain categories, so there's really nothing to "catch on" to. If they feel like you're over-doing it they can start to offer you less pay for your upfronts though. It all depends on the quality of your content. I have one account that I only submit "how to's" on and it's sstill rocking with high upfronts.

@ toski - Hi, thanks mate! I really appreciate the kind words!

What niches each person should choose is basically the only thing I can't help people with over and above the things I've already shared here and in the book. There are literally millions of sub niches you can write/rewriite on based off of the main niches I've talked about that do well. Remember, everything you see in your daily life is a niche that can be exploited with AC.

The more obscure and unique the topic is, the better. Things that are "popular" at the time are great, but only if they haven't already been done to death.

Cheers,

Red

Also, I thought I'd share a few tips on what works for me at AC. I've got 4 good rewriters I picked up at GAF for $1 per 500 to 600 words. I took the time to email back and forth with my rewriters (once I knew they had promise)when I hired them to get them trained as to just what I needed from the articles, (SEO, adding personality to the rewrites, proper keyword density and usage, showed em how to use DupeFree etc) and it's payed off nicely.

To what percentage do you require your rewrites be made in order to be accepted by AC?

Thanks for taking the time to share your success.

@noober- In order to pass copyscape, your rewrites should be 85% unique at least. So no more than 15% duplicate content.

@ Everyone

I've been working hard lately on boosting my pages views and I ran across a few articles on social bookmarking that I think may help some of you with basic info on social bookmarking and a few strategies to use when submitting. Let me know your thoughts on it :)

hey red. i was thinking about a new way to promote my articles. Do you think it would be wrong if I created a link to my A*C articles by lying and saying that it was some popular trend?

Hi Red, hey I was curious about, if person views my 4 paged article how many PVs I would get.
I am askin becoz, today I used a different browser & proxy; & viewed all of my article's last pages. I have published 26 articles 5 of them are of 4 pages. Usually my daily PVs are around 35 or so. But today I got 76 PVs. Even if I add my own 26 PVs I should I've got around 50-60.:p
I was just curious, If is it so, then publishing a directly copied article of max pages as performance only would be great for boosting PVs.

Hi All,
Sharing a report from AC on how it has transformed its news content.
Its a decent 71 pgs report - but reading the pgs 8, 41, 42, 55, and your are done.

The report is a joint effort by AC and Telegraph Uk. Its free, I found somewhere on the Internet, but unable to find the source, so I am uploading in Mediashare. Its a PDF, so I guess needs no virus scans.

Merry X to all !:p
