Journey to 2000/m with POD

Where do you get the designs? Do you make them from other sites? or make them?

I outsource the development to freelancers. Though I've been trying to make my own. Pretty difficult cus I'm not a art guy.

Minor update: So one of my amazon listings finally went live. I got a friend to buy it to leave a review on it. Going to ask some people I know irl to help me out with the amazon reviews. This way I can save some money before I go out and buy the reviews from the BHW thread.

Other than that I've been taking it easy cus this is such tedious work. My teepublic listings are done. And now I have 200 designs on redbubble. Filling out my sheet with a bunch of keyword ideas. Gotta organize it a little bit more.

I get random orders on teepublic. Here's the sales figure now. I think this income stream can be developed to 300 a month if I do it right. Which brings me a little closer to my 2000/m goal. I'm already on track to surpassing August's earnings.

What's your investment so far? and what was your profit?

I'm kinda sloppy at organizing my expenses. But my 1000 designs cost me 1500 dollars. I've made twice that amount so far. Mostly from Amazon.

The new investment is: 2000 for 500 designs. 300 for the Merch account. 7 for the ahrefs subscription.

Designs are mostly texts based I guess

or many variations for one design something’like that

Tried to upload on Redbubble but only uploaded 35 designs.
The upload limit is 60 designs per day.

My design team
I have so many questions here xD
(Not gonna ask for names and other details)
How did you find them, and how much do you pay them? [Edit: just saw your other post that answered this, no need to answer again]
What kinds of designs are these? Are they nice and artistic, or text-based for different niches, or something else?

Uploaded another 50 designs to Redbubble. Got 100 new designs delivered today. Placed an order for Amazon reviews from this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/a...cement-guarantee-black-friday-20-off.1084279/

Spent 170 for 5 reviews. Generated a organic sale already from my Merch account. Made a penny. Hoping that these reviews will be able to get me a bunch of organic sales.

They're mostly text. Sometimes with some pictures and nice looking fonts. Some of the designs are variations from a base design. Some of the designs are not text based. It is dependent on the niche.

I found them from a BHW joint venture that I posted here. Been working with them ever since. The designs are text based across many different niches. Some aren't text based though. Depends on the niche.

Updated figures from my teepublic. And showing my Merch account cus why not.

Uploaded 50 designs on Redbubble and 50 designs on Teepublic today. Did more keyword research.

Good luck!
I have a question. I've been trying to sell on MBA for months. Do you have any tips for generating traffic?
Thank you!

I didn't get anything done on Saturday cus I basically took a break and slept the entire day. Then binge watched anime. Today I uploaded 40 designs on Teepublic. 2000 listings on Teepublic now. Nothing on Redbubble.

One of the Amazon reviews that I purchased from BHW got posted into my Merch dashboard.

It's been a slow day. Sometimes I want to give up but this journey thread kinda keeps me going to do the bare minimum needed.

Good luck!

Ok, here are my tips based on my experience. Success on MBA will depend on two factors: paid traffic vs organic traffic. You're either bringing in your own traffic to the listings or you're relying on the platform's traffic. If you're doing paid traffic then I'd suggest doing it elsewhere where it's more profitable. Like teespring.

If you're relying on the platform's organic traffic then you basically have three routes.

1. Make your own original designs and hope it goes viral
2. Target competitive niches that have been proven to sell
3. Target low competitive niches that doesn't sell a lot

I'll explain each option.

1. So you either make your own design that's unique/creative. There's no competition because it originates from you. You gain attention for your design by bringing in your own traffic. You can get ideas for this from social media browsing, your own experience, and trends.

2. These are niches where we know the shirts sell a lot. The problem is that everyone else knows too. So they're targeting it as well. The problem is that the algorithm favors listings that have gotten a lot of reviews and sales. So in order to be at a competitive level you have to do the same. Which means bringing your own traffic and/or buying up your own shirts in order to get higher in the algorithm. Some people use the paid advertising option that Amazon has in order to do this.

3. This is basically "long tail" keywords of Amazon and what I'm primarily doing. You target keywords with little to no listings and gets little sales per month. (like 3 or 4 a month.) You'll make a little bit of money but at least when someone searches for the keyword they'll find your listing. You can either be a little fish in an ocean or a big fish that dominates the pond.

Pick your strategy and run with it. Hopefully my tips have helped you out.

Thank you so much for the complete reply, I appreciate that and of course, I will follow your advices!

Glad I could help.

Minor update:

2/5 of the reviews that I bought have been processed and credited to my account. Generated another organic sale today. I decided to sell all my shirts at cost in order to speed up the process of going to T25 and T100.

Teepublic sales are getting slow again which is a bummer. Good to see that I matched August's earnings. I've started to upload on Spreadshirt now. Sucks that it's at 20 uploads per day. But it's super easy and efficient to upload which is what I like.

I'm going to buy adobe illustrator later this week and start playing with the software. I want to be able to make my own designs eventually.

Interesting update!
I created some tutorials for Illustrator, if you are interested, search on youtube "Monkey's Dream" :)

Uploaded 45 designs on Teepublic. 50 on Redbubble. 20 on Spreadshirt.
