Made $30 on two articles today

Hey redtide, are you still going to do the 2nd book? Maybe you could throw us some traffic techniques in there /pout

If you guys aren't receiving at least 50 hits or more to each article weekly you need to re-evaluate what you are doing to promote your articles because there's some simple things that can get you page views really easy. Some you don't even have to maintain daily. More like once a week to keep them pouring in the page views. I would explain a few things I do but it's been covered multiple times in this thread by me, RedTide, & others.

I want to encourage people to go ahead and read this thread all the way through. I've had articles that I never even promoted EVER anywhere get 400 hits in a week just due to the title and proper SEO practices in my writing. It wasn't even a popular or sought after product. It was seriously a review on a set of Studio Monitors (Of a specific brand, they are midrange monitors) for Mixing. Mastering, & Recording music. Not something that's searched for a lot at all in my opinion. But this article just pulled organic page views like crazy all day long from the way it was written & the title.

This is pretty frustrating. I am not getting these pageviews a week and there is NOTHING that has been covered multiple times in this thread on traffic except for: "use Twitter". NTM, your 400 pageviews a week on an article you didn't promote is hit and miss.

I have one article I got paid like 2.24, but it's really the only article giving me any traffic. I was getting a little over a hundred pageviews a day from it, but now it's more like 80. And it will dwindle to nothing real soon because it was about 2010 New Year's.

If you're talking about SEO, then that means we have to take extra time to find something that hasn't been talked to death on A.C. AND is something our article can rank for in Google. I'd like to how those of your apparently outsourcing like 40 of these types of articles a day are doing that, because it sounds like B.S.

@ prasentjit1857 - I did, but only have so much time in the day to get to backlogged PM's.

@ Anthraxx - It's working fine on my end.

@ Mariopits - I don't think all of the misc. people that have posted up about page views in this and the other threads here in the AC subforum are ALL bs'ing about drawing an average of 200-400 page views a week. You're new at this, so it goes without saying that you have some things to learn.

You said that NOTHING has been covered other than Twitter, well are you social bookmarking your articles and/or your content producers page? Are you adding other AC writers as "favories" or becoming thier "fans"? Both of these things indeed HAVE been covered already and do indeed pull in more page views. There are more ways than I can count to promote your articles, for instance, anything that you would use for online promotion for things like affilaite marketing, CPA etc can be used for this purpose.

It sounds like you're over analyzing the whole page view/SEO aspect. You'll always have articles that perform like crap and others that do great, it's the way it goes with AC and anything in IM.

I found that yahoo answers draws a lot of page views. What you do is post a question and answer it putting a link to your article in the answer. Make sure to use the keywords that you used in your article. This gets me around 10-15 page views a day.

But like redtide said, some of my articles dont get any traffic. O well. The key to bringing page views up is to write some of the assignments they post. Even if they arent upfront payment type assignments, you should still do a couple.

I do the assignments. However, I do have a lvl 2 yahoo answers account so I'll try that. But how do you know you're getting 10-15 page views from yahoo answers a day?

I'm talking about the -couple- people who are claiming those numbers PER article . How do you know the people who are your fans on A.C. are actually reading your articles?

I am socialbookmarking and using rss feeds.

I am getting about 600 page views a week with the help of that one article. But these page views are with 29 articles published. I don't know if this is good enough for AC; this is what I am wondering.

I just don't want to pump out articles only for A.C. to decline them or lower payment because I'm not generating enough traffic; problem is I don't know how much is enough. Time is money, etc.

Exactly, time is money, SO.. I'm not going to spend too much of MY TIME with someone who comes asking for help while calling BS to people that have way more than 29 articles worth of experience with building AC page views. That's definitely not the right approach in my book.

Because time is money, I''l keep this brief and just use Shawndellah as a quick example. I've been to her AC profile page and know for a fact that she has well over a million views on one of her accounts. Even before I viewed her profile I would have never "called BS" on those numbers or disrespected her by calling BS on how many views she tells me she's pulling a day.

That's not how you ask for, or GET help from people.

@ tchashow - Exactly, I had just explained the YA method to Anthraxx in a post the other day in here, but I guess that one went unoticed by mario because "all anyone has spoon fed in the thread is Twitter"

Anyway, thanks tchashow

@mariopits- well, i dont actually know, i kinda guess. I'm running tests as to what method drives the most traffic. So what I do is only promote some articles with yahoo answers, others with social bookmarking, others with forum posting, and some with all the methods. Then, I average the page views together by dividing the amount of views I get by the 7 days.

Right now I have about 143 views from the articles i'm promoting using yahoo answers so I divided that by 7 and got 20. Hope that clarified it for you.

EDIT: And mario you need to think outside the box to get traffic for A*C. Theres so many different ways to get it. I got some of my ideas from reading around this forum and some others. Some things may not work at first but you wont know until you try. I know i would love somebody to spoon feed me answers so I can do it exactly right and not have to do nothing myself but thats just not going to happen. Nobodys goin to share all their methods, at least not without a price. So you gotta say fuck em and do it yourself. Just try and stop asking so many questions and just do so maybe when you come across something new you can share your insight with somebody when they ask. Just trying to help buddy. :D

I never insinuated that I know more than anyone here. I'm guessing that's why you called out my article count. I also didn't mean to insult anyone. The time is money quote was in reference to a post Johnwrong made where he said to treat this like a business because time is money; every minute we spend pondering about A.C. is money lost.

But every minute writing an article only for it to be declined for various reasons, like lack of sufficient page views, is really the same sentiment. Especially when you're up against time because I am currently in a position Johnwrong was in a while back, well sans hospital. So in a nutshell I'm just getting frustrated and freaking out.

I AM NOT creative like other people are here - it is just the reality. You guys make "thinking outside the box" sound like it's as easy as wiping your butthole but for me it just isn't.
This doesn't mean I don't still try... I have been trying to make money online since '07 and this is the only time I've been able to actually make money, which has so far been about $70 since I started this.

This doesn't mean I don't value anyone's input in this thread or you or your guide. There really aren't any words to describe how thankful I am because buying that scam guide and finding yours redtide is real perfect timing and like I said before has really changed my life.

But the problem here is perspective. It's just when you buy a lot of promises and they all turn out to be doodie then everything looks like bs when you try stuff and don't get anywhere.

I do not mean to be acting like a bitch and I don't think I'm asking to be spoonfed. Or maybe I was and didn't realize it, I don't know. I wasn't looking for someone to break out their secrets. I just wanted to know if the amount of page views I am getting is okay for them.
So I am really sorry for the people I insulted.

^^ Dont worry buddy u didnt insult me. But you cant say that you arent creative. Thats probably why you're not succeeding now. The first thing you have to do is believe in yourself. You cant depend on other people to help you because then you'll always be dependent on others. Neway you dont need to be creative really because you are in the best forum there is. :D So all you have to do is read around some. I had no idea how to start making money until I read some things. Once you start doing things and succeeding at them, then eventually you'll start to have your own ideas.

Now as for your page views, I personally think they are fine. Just keep trying different stuff to bring them up. At least you'll be trying, right?

Neway, heres something you can implement in using yahoo answers. What I do is post a question such as "Will this method of growing tomatoes work?" and then I post my link to my article. You know there are a lot of people trying to get a higher level in yahoo answers, so they are going to try and answer your question and in order to do that they have to click the link. Thats just one thing you can do with yahoo answers. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!!!!!

guys,i was wondering if upfront payment has anything to do with clout level ?For all my accepted articles i got 2.24 $ . BTW my clout level is 1

Yea, upfront has something to do with clout level. You usually get more the higher clout you have. But if you're writing good articles you can get paid pretty good on a clout level 1 account. I got a couple 5+ upfronts on one of my accounts that is a clout level 1 but you need to use all the advice red gives out in this thread to get that amount. You also have to keep your page views up because i noticed on 2 of my accounts that I was getting really low upfronts for articles that followed the same guidelines I applied to my 5+ upfront articles. So, if you're following all reds advice and still getting low offers maybe you shoud focus more on article promotion for that particular account.

@ prasentjit1857 - You're welcome, I'm glad it helped.

@ mariopits - No worries man and I apologize to you if I seemed to be coming off as overly harsh. The thing is (and the reason I referred to the 29 articles) is that AC, like I've talked about so many times, is a building process. Building your daily, weekly and monthly pv's are no different. A person can't expect to be pulling the same page views as someone that have had the ball rolling a lot longer and have a lot more published content, so by calling BS it just got under my skin.

I'll use adding other AC writers as fans and favorites as an example. The longer you've been at AC, the more people will be wanting to check out your content and have interest in what your articles have to say. It's was the same way for everyone, me included.

Just add as many "mid-level" AC writers as fans and favorites as possible. I say "mid-level" because you do want to avoid adding the "top content producers" like I've talked about earlier in this thread, especially "Angie and Nina" from the AC forums who have a vendetta against anyone from BHW who submits to AC.

Anyway, add as many mid-levels as possible, add some quick comments to their articles and become part of the AC community like I talked about in the book. The more people you do this with, the more pv's you'll pull and the more interest these people will have in doing the same for you. Also, the more of a "presence" you have to your fans and favorites the more it will snowball into better pv averages. With your comments just say things like "great article and very informative, thanks for posting it".

It doesn't even take the ability to think outside of the box.

With 29 articles submitted, anything around 25-50 pv's a week is doing fine as you're building things up. Remember that you can't expect immediate results with such a small amount of articles published.

To answer your question about 'how do you know how many views you're pulling from your fans and favorites", you don't and really don't have to. Just add as many as you can, it's all accumulative.

@ tchashow - Rock on and well said. Btw, did that book end up being mine? Shoot me a PM and let me know if you would.

Hi there! I was wondering whether AC Editors know how many of your articles were rejected during previous submissions; & most importantly the IP address.
Actually I am having single account, but I used my default non-US IP address while registering to AC & for submitting articles. I was thinking that is my IP address has something to do with my recent large upfront rejections?

Well, u probably shouldnt have done that but maybe they didn't notice.

Are you targeting low competiton keywords? Do your articles have good keyword density? Are you following everything red has taught in this thread? Maybe you should have him look at your articles and see if you're doing anything wrong. If not then start a new account.

And yes, the editors know how many rejections you have. I think red said they flag your account after you have a string of them. You might wanna lay low on that account for a while if you've been having a lot of rejections. Just start another one but be sure not to use a non us ip. :D

Yes I have done everything I cuold do. But they are now just keep rejecting them. What should I do of those rejected articles, usually I publish them for 'Performance' to build up my library (now, I think its bad:(). Its a stupid question:o but suppose if i delete those rejected articleswill the editors know about rejections.
Another problem regarding proxies. When I use proxy the AC main page appears but when I try to login it says "Problem while loading the page".

Hey prasentjit,

They definitely do keep tabs on your rejection rates, it's part of what their software bases your upfront offers on. If you weren't using any proxies then that would fully explain your string of rejections for upfront.

As far as what to do with them, I've touched on it a number of times here in the thread and then fully explain how to handle them in my book. Did you register your account as US or non US?

Your log in problems are an indication that you're trying to use non-working proxies. Are they confirmed working US proxies? Are they private proxies?

redtide, you mentioned a while back that you've found an even better source for getting cheap articles than GAF.

Would you mind sharing?

I've been trying with GAF and have only found 1 good rewriter and really need a couple more.
