You remember G tagline Don'r be evil , with their recent years update applied the completely opposite , even though we suffered from their update no matter what we do (good contents legit promotion etc ) , but destroying contents sites were not enough for evil G ,
At least since 5 years they were destroying services and commercial website , and last couple years they completely wipe out all this mid small size business , with excuse of spammy contents cleanup .
Even I'm working on IM and SEO but I need from time to time to search for some services or products , and I can't find all of these on mega sites (Amazon Aliexpress etc) , sometimes I need to look for the products links inside webforums and social media (specially reddit ) , becomes G simply sink them to the bottom of the ocean .
couple minuts ago I was looking from dump contents to add to my Woocommerce test site after I select search for product word inside the url to the page 25 none of the search result includes single commercial website sells products (Woocommerce uses product word on their url scheme) instead of getting million of result from commercial site I got results from dictionary newspapers and some other Business sh!tty websites .

I did notice with this update, people who are replying, are saying the same thing. Its to do with ecommerce.

So why G doing this now , to force these eCommerce sites to spend more money on Ad-words campaigns ,
BTW 5 Yrs ago I was working on a big niche , and G did update that leaves 5~10 authority site (even their contents were too sh!ty) to be on top of all KW related to that nice ,
I'm 100% sure these websites were hand written before that update , I never see most of them before , even their contents were wrote recently (all my websites were older then them ) , this happened 5 Yrs ago and the same sites with the same KW's still dominated that niche (the whole nice have about 1 Million search volume/day ) , that was suspicious move from G and I didn't know how this happened .

Yeah I noticed the same, they are not very consistent. That is why they added more adds above and below search results. All about the money.

Why not saying Millions of sites , eCommerce sites are not up to Amazon Alibaba and other mega corporations , people have the right to get their websites indexing correctly , G started as subdomain of Stanford university without them there were no G at all , they just need to know their place well , and not destroy other people hard work to make living , competing on eCommerce Ads campaign is impossible now , how people will start their business online than !

Well, that's what happens when large enough company have almost zero competition. Can imagine the day when they will just ban ecom websites from SERP completely, leaving their PPC as the only option.

I have enough experience on how to hunt clients from the web , if you want real valuable traffic count on your own resource (without paying penny) , e.g having YT channels that related to product you sell is strong marketing point , getting people to search for your brand is other method too .

That's is one of the reasons that duckduckgo is getting bigger, but still a long way to go to even we call them competition to google

And that's why every thread on BHW can provide value. Thank you for sharing experience! Thought the same, included building a web of SM resources as a top priority in strategy for my very first venture, but it was just a guess. Good to see a confirmation from an experienced member.
