Looks Like A New Google Update Rolling Out 15th August 2020.

Reports are indicating a Google update is rolling out. I'm personly seeing big movements. 2 sites up, 1 down, 1 unaffected.

Others are reporting the same.

As most of you probably already know, there is a Google update rolling out since 14th of August. Major changes it seems.

I haven't been in SEO for that long so I don't really have a lot of experience with what is considered normal when it comes to Google updates.

This morning, I had a big drop in traffic on one of my sites (30% drop) but it picked back up and now it seems like I'm getting rewarded from this update.
Is this normal behavior? Site dropping in serps than picking up again in the Google update.

They reverted the changes on or around a hour ago. Search results look normal again.

The update took place for around 18 or so hours on Saturday.

That's twice in one week they made an update so maybe they do intend to make a permanent update in the near future.

You would have to think that they wouldn't be doing these updates unless they have a change coming. That's twice in one week for almost 24 hours. Lets hope an update is coming for those affected by the May 2020 update.
