Not sure how I feel about it. It's a weird feeling to be fired because I've never been fired from a position, ever. I was working in the most miserable job I've ever had and I thought I found a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a new job. The pay was better but the drive was a little out there. It was an hour and 10 minutes to and an hour and 10 minutes back, doing 4 12 hour shifts a week. The boss was clearly a little off of his rocker but the pay was decent.

Fast forward to yesterday, it was my day off. I worked Thursday night to Monday morning. In the background, the boss was editing the schedule, didn't tell anyone, and started sending me angry texts late Monday night asking why I wasn't at work. I called him as soon as I woke up to a somber tone telling me it wasn't working out and I was fired. I guess I'll be hitting the job market and looking for remote work or maybe seeing if freelancing is an option to pay the bills even though I haven't done it seriously in a long time.

For now, I think I could use a few sips of Grandpa's cough medicine and I'll be spending every waking moment trying to figure things out.

Sounds like losing that job might do wonders for your health (1hr+ drive??). Take it easy, you'll be fine.

Well bro in India, people travel 2-3 hours each side and still they work,no doubts these people work hard a lot.I mean I am also from India but these people, salute to them working so hard and you haven't seen the travel condition here or else you would be better doing the same job happily ever after.

Don't worry. Get some Fiverr Gigs set up and start earning money from home. It's how I did it, I threw the towel in with Agency Work and went to work for myself, best move I've ever made.

Dang man sorry to hear about that. Keep your chin up and start looking for a new job. You'll get back on your feet

Sorry to hear bud. Get your lean on for a night if you need, then get back to the grind.

You got fired, but it sounds like it was a dead-end job. Blessing in disguise. It was going to happen eventually.

You're on BHW - you should be working online, anyways. You may not meet your previous income the first month back working online. Stick to it and you should get there soon enough.

No, your Implying I said that when I never actually did.
No need for us to bicker like this. Have a nice day

Sorry to hear that you were fired OP, hope everything works out for you.

Not being called out for saying what I never said.

Chill.

You can be a tad contentious and that is not necessary.

It is a discussion thread and nobody called you out.
I was just pointing it out. With him saying that I said it was Easy and Simple, it added the wrong context to my reply.

I know it's not easy, trust me.

But you are taking the focus off the context of the thread due to you being contentious.

The guy lost his job... that can be devastating to someone and you are concerned that someone is "calling you out".

How was I contentious? I replied to the thread, to which I was replied to? He didn't have to reply to my thread and wasn't even the OP.

True and I apologise, but it gave the wrong context to the message when I was only trying to help.
