we can get over the ban only if the companies started taking serious actions about some actions on theire sites the child on tiktok are no more models they are growing porn stars 100% ( sorry mods if this was out of rules )

Agreed. What is with all this banning anyways? If you start curtailing freedom of expression and speech in social media platforms, then I guess we should call for the ban of many other platforms. I find it very contradicting of the U.S. to accuse other countries of propaganda but they do the same thing to their own people. You block out other non-US based news, and only permit US news stations, then someone from outside of the US would look at that and think, America is just brainwashed by propaganda US news. The same way you look at North Korea and think they are brainwashed because they are only allowed to have North Korean news fed to them and ban everything else. Well of course, you'd expect North Korea to have their own news fed to them just as America likes to have their own news fed to them and block out Russia Today (RT news) and call them propaganda/brainwashed media.

Who said it's about propaganda? I thought it was about "Chinese spying." It's not like you open up the app and the first thing you see is a Chinese news channel. Your example is a little flawed because in the US no one is stopping you from consuming media from abroad, but in NK most of it is straight up blocked.
But saying it's Chinese spying IS US propaganda. How are the Chinese spying on Americans via TikTok? It's just a social media platform AFAIK that is not made by the Chinese government. Facebook is doing the exact same thing by spying on Americans, too and it has been proven in courts many times with Federal hearings. So I'm not sure why you think it's ok to ban TikTok because it's Chinese but not ban Facebook and Google for spying on you because it's American.

In your reasoning, the difference is that the US government likely feels like they have some control over the spying levels of our tech giants, whereas they have no control over TikTok. Keep in mind, I'm not for or against TikTok, just trying to make sense of it.
