Not a core module that was even patched 4 years ago... if we had to compare this with WordPress, Troy will be on fire...
This is not common but a commodity in any CMS that is not updated regularly.

I am still trying to upload my pdf file using kali Linux but failed every time... I had never worked with drupal

and it seems like that the site owner already know about this hack because those pdf files which is uploaded 23+ hours ago is deleted
