[Poll] Option to select winners in freebies/giveaways section

I know it's not possible to have contests, sweepstakes etc as they involve legal issues. However, having all threads in freebies/giveaways as first come first serve is easy to exploit. There are many people who post comments in a hurry without reading the threads and there are some members who hire VAs to watch out for these threads. So, the regular members won't have a fair chance to participate in giveaways. There should be an option to choose winners in some special cases (just like service reviews & testers, which I guess doesn't break any laws). I'd like to listen to your opinions on this.

There is the option to set criteria ( which many people fail to do ).

So you can say I have 5 copies of XXXXX

Members must have at least 300 posts and have joined before 1st January 2019.

The other option staff has is those who just spam reply to these and don't meet criteria can instead earn themselves points.

Contests are allowed but they need Admin approval and there is a fee associated with them.

Making it carte blanche in the freebies section for pick and choose could turn that subforum into a mess that would require an army of robotic mops and brooms.
