Are all PBNs eventually caught? Do they have long term viability?
(please answer from the context of personal pbns)

In terms of building your own, not buying some churned out pbn.Depends on how good the seller is, read reviews before placing an order

This.PBNs get caught when they are not built out right, look sloppy and leave huge footprints. Then when people share the domains they go from private to public and then the issues start.
Treat them as you would a genuine site; nice theme, clickable links, banners, decent hosting ( avoid SEO hosting etc ).
how often do you add links to your PBNs? besides web 2.0, do you do anything else to maintain them as link building goes?Keep your network private, update them regularly and you shouldn’t have an issue.
I still have blogs from 2014 running.
At the end of the day PBN’s are just blogs until proven otherwise - so keep it that way.
Run your network like an actual blog, not like a link farm.
How do I manage my network? Regularly schedule well written-informative blog posts, and progressively build decent web 2.0’s as tier 2’s.
To this day, my PBN’s receive organic traffic and provide me with great link juice.
