CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH FINDING SIMS IN THE U.S?!?

So I never really used SIM cards in my life.

I went to Walmart and Best Buy and was completely lost with what I need forsimple twitter verifications.

looked on amazon was also lost, I seen a few $1 SIM cards.
I need to also find a phone to use it on. I’m hoping I can get a simple cheap phone that can receive sms codes from Twitter.

My biggest Hangup is understanding a data plan as well.
If I get a $1 sim do I need to get a plan for each sim? That would be very expensive?

You need the cheapest sim cards you can get. Even without a data plan. All you need to pay attention is that sim can receive SMS and has a decent expiry date, usually 3-6 months from activation.

Cheapest phone will do as well. You literally need the most simplest functionality sim and phone can do, so...

They expire that fast? And you don’t need a data plan to receive sms?

what happens after 6 months when the number expires and if I get a verification request from Twitter?

shouod I change the number on the account before that happens?

You just top-up your prepaid sim card with some credit and it extends expiry dates.

I am not sure if T-Mobile still offers the $3/mo pay as you go plan.
