.edu backlinks..

About 4 months ago I was told by a successful SEO'er (Robert Lang), to go to these forums and live there for a few months. Wow, the information I've gathered is remarkable. And I just found this forum by chance. So far I'm researching info from 14 different forums - all seo related.

Thanks guys,

TF

Hi,

I just purchased a program that says it can do:

"This
plugin will search for thousands of .edu websites using your keywords
and will submit your comment messages to these blogs automatically. It
takes about 5 seconds to install and no configuration is required. You
may order this plugin at discounted price (costs only $20 for existing
customers) from.."

I will let you know how this goes.

Here's how you get them for free by putting in just 1 hr of your time. It can easily give you 10 to 15 high PR backlinks daily:

(You'll need the Google toolbar to check high PR page and to use auto form fill up feature, if you want to speed things up)

Procedure - Google it.

Just search:-

site: .edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"you must be logged in" -"comment posting closed" -"comment closed" "<your keyword>"

And google like a good and wise search engine will return you all required .edu university blogs to submit your comments and have a backlink. It is a good practice to ping his/her blog after you comment the post.

Awesome, thanks instead ou using blogs I used the word links and got millions of sites some which links can be added instantly. One was a pr 5 and stated last update feb. 2003. I clicked add link and got a form to fill out. Will try it tonite from home. As you stated also works with blogs and .gov
Takes more time but hey you get about 20-30 backlink .edu or .gove links with pr 5 and up your pr has hot to shoot up. Some even had a pr of 7
Sites charge hundreds of dollars for these links.
thanks.

Thanks man! Coming from somebody just starting out, information like this is invaluable!

Again, thanks!

This thread contains some great information that must be put to use. I will try out all of these tips and see how they work. Thank you!

As learnt from those internet gurus, search engine will check your backlink quality, if you have 1000 non-related backlink, your site might not rank high, therefore build 10 quality link (related to your site) is better then you created thousand non-related backlink.

Hey guys, this is another trick to find a dot edu blogs. Just type the search string in google

site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments
closed" -"you must be logged in" "put your keyword here"

you can experiment and combine the search string, the "dash" string means that search results with the particular words will be excluded. So you will find some blog to post comment.

Cool! this works a lot better than any list - also, you can post on relevant topics/blogs. But what about "no follow"?

But since the search engines change their minds every couple of months about what constitutes quality links, I always prefer QUANTITY.

PR 5 EDU link.
No approval required

hxxp://ec.wmich.edu/resources/

Guess this one was hit hard because it's now showing

This page has been temporarily disabled. Please check again in a few weeks.

Yeah, I had like 5 sites getting links from that site. hxxp://ec.wmich.edu/resources for about a week then it went down. Damn.

@Ricardo...thanks for the list. But MANY of those links are dead. Instead of a rep you get an "atta-boy" for the effort.
