Copying other blog kw?

i know a blog from its initial stage up to now it have a few thousand visitor daily in just around 4-5 month, its strong point is content and keyword (good On-page) because i see this blog only have a few backlink, and only 3-4 backlink from relevant sites.

If i copy this blog kw (every article keyword) and create a better article and good backlink can i have similar result or even better?
(im not copy the article, just the main keyword from the article)

currently i dont have premium tools to research keyword that is why i want to follow this site keyword (so i dont need to do a research kw again) , i only need to expand the keyword to write a better content. i will consider buy ahref trial in the near future.
