I probably wouldn't call it unlegit, however, SMM Panels are a breach of the TOS of most online social media platforms.
As for my views, I don't mind using SMM Panels, however, depending on what you are purchasing, depends on whether it's worth it really.

Most smm panels are just resellers. So maybe a handful use their own accounts but like 99% of them are resellers so I can see why most don’t work. Have bad reviews. Ect... but when you do find a legit working one that’s not a reseller. Hang on too then like gold. So like the other person said it’s not an unlegit business and does break tos but it’s all about who is running it

What has happened?
I have noticed that some smm panels like Instantsmo have closed the registry to new users and I think the administrators are from India too.

Exactly, some can be very low quality and you may find that you are paying for 1000 followers on Twitter for example, however 15 minutes later, you may lose every follower as they drop, just all about hunting for a good quality provider, however you will pay a more premium price for a higher quality provider.

I know of at least one that has a BST here that is shutting down and asked to have his sales thread closed due to that new legislation (I think it is legislation but I only skimmed through the article shared).

This is a biggy ! Most of Indian smm I've seen have stopped registration and even removed their homepage. Still no clearity what is going on.

It is the grey zone dude just like when politicians pull strings and favours using their powers. Here only thing is even though TOS is broken of 3rd part software's they can't really impose a ban on the panel unless they close all accounts owned by the panel/supplier. Or if they can find out the owner and take legal action lol.

I don’t think they can tell someone it is illegal to own 10000 accounts.
