Finally got rid of google chrome :D

How do you deal with not having all those Chrome extensions? Not trolling, that's the only thing keeping me married to Chrome
Which ones in particular? All of the chrome ones that I used, work with edge well. Didn't even need to install any of those manually. Edge imported everything for me.

Ahh true, if I do my homework I can at least find an equivalent app for Edge.

I hope you know that the new edge is chromium based, so all your crx extensions will work on edge as well.

I switched from Chrome to Edge for the last 2 months. It's because of the way Chrome sucking my ram spaces. Edge is working smoothly for me, and I love it.

I am still using MS Edge after moving away from Chrome a month ago. Performance is smooth as butter and doesn't overload my RAM.

My instinct tells me not to trust Brave, Dissenter. They claim to be secure and ad-free which is fine. But there must be some hidden agenda behind it. My 2 cents.

I was not trusting them at first but as you say you never know.

I installed brave browser once, and it crashed several times. Then I uninstalled it and back to Chrome. But after switching to Edge, I am not planning to move into Chrome anymore. While using Chrome, my disk space was always used on average 60-70%, but now it's around 25% on average for Edge.

To be fair with chrome, Google has announced that they will work on fixing the memory problems on windows, and will release an update very soon. May be a good news for those who are still using it.

What took them so long to fix the memory issue? People have been complaining about this for years after years!!

Even if they fix the memory issue, I won't go back to chrome. They tortured my RAM for a decade!

Another solid reason to love Microsoft Edge? They got built-in text to speech function. And their included voice is pretty impressive (not robotic).

To me, the main problem with chromium is not espionage, but the load on RAM. It's not normal for Google Chrome to load my PC by almost half. I hope Google will soon fix this problem in cooperation with Microsoft.

Good for you man. I did that a long time ago. I'm balling with Brave Browser.
Are there lots of add-ons for the Brave Browser?

The only reason I use Chrome is the fact that it supports the add-ons that make my job so much easier

I like edge, unlike google

hehe

However, I dont like the download mangaer hidden next to the URL Bar.
I feel more comfortable having it at the bottom
You have any ways to get around that?

As for your original question (not sure if you fixed)
@Gogol

Go into settings, search for Address bar

Change Search on new tabs uses search box or address bar, change it to address bar.

That should make all default searches google or whatever u set above

How does it feel to get rid of Google Chrome? I've always thought of this but I'm so attached to the platform that I can't seem to delete it. Any other options to use?

Check Irdium Browser, a ditto copy of chrome but german privacy based.

Then there is also Cent browser, not sure about its privacy nature.
