How to select sites for guest post?

Hello all,

I am planning to get some guest posts. But the question is how to find a good site for guest post. Which matrics should i count here, da/pa, traffic, backlinks, outbound links?

Suppose, site 1 has very good traffic, but da/pa is very low, and OBL is low

Site 2 has very high da/pa, traffic is not good and high OBL

Which one is the best option in your opinion?

And please explain why you will choose that one.

If you want a fast and efficient strategy for sorting out which domains to target for outreach, id go with #1 traffic, #2 DR/DA. Traffic is the biggest marker for Google approval, with organic traffic combined with high DR its a lot more likely that its not just momentarily ranking well.

Site 1, because it's the higher quality site between both sites.

Yes, you are. Just joking. On a serious note, you need to get over that fear otherwise SEO isn't for you.

I will usually check the following:
1 / Niche relevance: Does it have articles related to your niche? It is better to have some posts ranking. Your guest post can get internal links from those posts to get link juice.
2 / DR / RD: I will check its backlink profile. I like it having links from niche-related authority sites or relevant niche sites ranking.

For your 2 options, I will choose the website that is more related to the article you are trying to rank. If it also has a good backlink profile, go for it.
Metrics like DA, DR, RD, TF, Traffic might just be the beauty to increase their guest post's price.

DA is definitely a metric to look out for, but traffic matters a lot for guest post. About how to find such sites, do a little search on the forum and you will find a lot of useful threads

Rule of thumb, if a website is ranking for keywords for MORE THAN a year AND gets good traffic from them means google likes it. Choose that.

Thanks for your reply, here i want to add one more point,

Recently i have got an offer for guest post, site's niche relevance, dr/da, backlink, traffic all these things are good enough.

But it's OBL is very high, about 7k. And every post has 3+ outbound links.

What should do here. I think the site's owner will sell many more links in future.

What is your suggestion,

Organic traffic is always the #1 proxie for a good site IMO. I always start here and then have a look at how the traffic trend looks. If it's dropping, I need to ask myself, why and determine if this link will still be valuable a year from now.
