"Want to Sell" thread is needed in BlackHatWorld

We need a Want to Sell thread for Jr. VIP to be able to sell a product or service one-off. Selling does not necessarily have to be a BST all the time. There are situations where I just want to sell off what I do not need or just one unique product that could be beneficial to some buyers in the forum. In that case, I would be wasting money if I open a BST for it, especially if the product price is lower than the BST listing price. Also, such a product is just a one-time sale and wouldn't make sense to open a BST on one copy only.

I hope BlackHatWorld would consider this.

Or for selling one software the fees could be $5 for that thread. That way the forum can also profit and the seller doesn't have to add much to their selling price.

But selling thread not allowed outside of Marketplace.

Keep an eye on HAF and wtb in case someone wishes to buy what you already have. Why I don’t like this because it bypasses mods and can lead to unnecessary SL and disputes

I like this idea actually. But it could be a bitch to implement.

I guess if the forum mods admins owners and black magicians could figure out a way to make something like this possible, both the members and the forum could benefit.

I am not a marketplace mod, so this is my own perspective here.

One of the things that sets BHW above other forums and marketplaces is that anything directly offered for sale is reviewed/tested before being approved.
Creating a second tier marketplace but just create too much additional work IMO.

I do like the idea, so keeping it inside Jr VIP maybe it could work as a BST offering once again. The items would need to be capped at a reasonable price and members limited to having one active thread open at a time, might be workable with the caveat of doing due dilligence.

BST = Buy/Sell/Trade, so you could buy, sell or swap/barter/trade goods and services.

I can see it working for a reasonable fee. Either for a low flat fee like $5 or $10 per sale or probably even better, in a percentage system, something like 10% of the selling price with a $5 or $10 minimum, so the overly cheap stuff is kept out.

A trading (WTT) section, would be good too apart from this.

The percentage share is the most interesting answer I've got in this thread.

If there would be a middle man such that a BHW mod can verify that the service/product was delivered, that would be nice. So essentially, the seller need to first deliver to the WTS thread mod. Then the WTS thread mod should pm the delivery to buyer.

But it passed through a mod review already? Deal was done, and then thread was closed. If that's the case, BHW should put a big disclaimer that "although we make every necessary efforts to guide the delivery process and quality, it is your own due deligence to determine the seller from whom you are buying, and the quality of the product/service. Once the deal is done and your WTS thread is closed, no shitlist is possible for a WTS thread after it has been closed"

Period! Now let the buyer think twice before they buy. It's their responsibility too. Not just mods.

Option 2:
Another thing is, BHW can add a "WTS Trust Score" ranging from 1 to 10 or 1% to 100% for JrVIPs. That may help buyer understand the trustworthiness of a WTS seller overtime. If your WTS trust score is less than 50%, you cannot open a WTS thread. A disclaimer of ".. due diligence.." is also necessary here. That should simplify reducing the workload for mods.
