Gutenberg vs Classic editor - What's your take?

Both. Gutenberg allows adding elementor blocks on normal post. That's the only reason otherwise classic ftw

I use html. For a long time I also used markdown, there are plugins for it.

classic is love. Text editor should be a text editor not wix builder.

Gutenberg guy here. It was pain in the ass at first, but I didn’t wanted to use elementor or other bloat so I started building with gut. I got used to it and it’s fine for me but there are a lot of flaws really. I hate that I need selection tools to select most of the blocks.

I was hating on the Gutenberg for a LONG time. Still doesn't make sense to me, but I've got used to using it. Figured, if that's the way WordPress wants to go I might as well get myself familiarized with it.

If there's a blog post I'm formatting a particular way I'll still use the Classic Editor..

I use ClassicPress, it's a fork of WordPress, and preserves Classic Editor for life, note that Classic editor would be obsolete in WordPress by next year or so. https://www.classicpress.net/

Classic no doubt Gutenberg such a misuse of the name really... It def suck, nothing innovative (for its time) or anything like that. Just pure annoying with all these blocks and simple stuff is so much harder... Plugin to get rid of Gutenberg is a must use

Those who are saying classic do not want to adapt to something new. Guten is best and classic is shit.

Hated Guten at first as change can be difficult, but it has grown on me.

Damn this is interesting. I prefer Gutenburg because it seems way more intuitive to me. I love all the blocks and I don’t see how it slows anyone down but maybe thats just me. I usually copy paste my stuff from google docs into gutenburg and it saves all my headings and stuff so its a god send.

I agree. I started using Gutenberg approximately one year after its release.
The first time I tried it, about the same week it was launched, I could stand the low editing with tool selections among others, and, at that time, it wasn't fully compatible with my theme.

To be more productive, so I intend on formulating ways to improve editing speed. One thing, I certainly like about it is the Reusable Blocks.

We continuously undergo changes in our lives. If Gutenberg is where WordPress is at or going (since its the future), why not embrace it? Adjust, adapt, and concur with it. Train yourself to use it to the productivity level of the Classic Editor.

Gutenberg works IF you do all of your post creation in the WP admin. If you end up creating and formatting your post in word and then copy & paste to WP it's a pile of crap as it can't format the blocks correctly - this is where classic wins in my opinion.
