Today, I'm sitting at my desk just eating my lunch whilst reading the Godfather when I get a "lovely" message from Amazon.

The long and the short of it is that I've been kicked out of the Associates program for two reasons:
1) Putting my aff links on sites I don't own. I haven't done this, this is BS on Amazon's part
2) Getting friends and family to purchase through my links. I would never do this, and they don't even know I'm in IM.

Edited the original post because I'm half cut.

That's messed up dude. It's scary how one day your main source of income can disappear instantly and for no reason. This is why I am planning to diversify with ads and other affiliate networks whenever I get the chance. If there is a lesson to be learned from this, it's to not put all your eggs in one basket.

Ain't that what YouTubers do? Tbh with you, I'm working on an affiliate website and I don't even hesitate to work with Amazon, instead, I'm going with CJ or ShareASale

than why you don't email them / call? I have heard about some people that were able to get their aff account back

Most overrated book of all time, the movie wasn't much better.

It really is scary? Still got parasites though with other affiliates.
At least you have a quality literary product by Mario Puzo to soften the blow.
Totally. I've read it countless times. I particularly like the Johnny Fontane side of it.

I think they do! Yeah shareasale is a good alternative.

I've sent them a pretty detailed email actually. I doubt they'll do anything about it though.

:O never!

It’s a blessing in disguise start something better Amazon doesn’t need its aff anymore I won’t be surprised if they slowly and steadily close it

I was just about to type this.

It's a blessing in disguise. Start working on something else. Wishing you the best of luck, mate :)

checky fuckers .

most don't no but amazon self promotes there products and take the commission there self know days.

There a cheek many have used amazon to make business but all them business has been restricted one way or another from amazon there self.

please be very careful amazon will eventually stop there partner plan for affiliates.

The best idea is to use amazon for research and use drop shopping website to get a better commission.

this might even upset a lot of ppl as

amazon was there income, so sorry.

there a wise saying in internet marketing.

NEVER PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET ......

i no this sad news, a member on here found the links of amazon self-promoting there listed products, this was the start of the COVID 19 virus start-up time, 4 months ago from today approx.

The sad news amazon made huge record-breaking profits thu this virus but they still fucked affiliates .

sorry, I no it bad news.

Fs in the chat, hope you bounce back stronger from this broski!

All of the affiliate networks including Amazon are sneaky and self-serving and the best advice by far is to not have all of your eggs in one basket.

It's a shame they don't have an option that has like "only accept links from xyz.com" to fight this, if they cared to.

Thank you everyone for the supportive messages.
I heard back from Amazon today, and they've reinstated my account. For anyone else that is in this position, my recommendation is to write a detailed email outlining why their decision isn't accurate as well as being as polite as possible.

Still a warning shot none the less.
I had lots (+40) of Adsense sites back in the day and one day sorry you are banned never to get back again - with no explanation and no amount of begging being helpful.
Learnt my lesson the hard way, so will not rely on one site or entity for income.
