This is how I get free voiceovers for my video contents. The voices are very human-like and the process is very simple.

  • First you have to visit this website https://text-to-speech-demo.ng.bluemix.net/
  • Choose a voice by selecting one from the dropdown menu below.
  • Input your text in the text box. You can either type your text directly in the text box or you can copy and paste your text in the text box.
  • Click the play button to play the output of your text, make sure it finish playing. Click on the option icon at the end of the play bar, it is immidiately after the speaker icon.
  • Click the download button and download the file.
  • Locate the file on your computer and rename it to an audio file by adding .mp3 at the end of the file name, click save or press enter.
  • Play the audio file, use it for whatever project you want to use it for.

Please note that this is an IBM website, so know how you use it.
Enjoy!!!

I feel like this was shared before. Much thanks for the guide!

Great share buddy. Will use this for my projects

Wish ivona reader was natural sounding like this.
There seems to be google and amazon tts too.

The tool is better than most of the paid ones. Thanks, man.

First let the engine process the text to speech.
Then click 3 dots besides speaker icon in audio below text box.
i tried that but it's downloading an unknown file.

This is a very valuable share.

Thank you.

I found that placing each sentence on its own line makes for more fluid speaking and makes it sound more natural.

Getting a pause for emphasis or to 'catch your breath' can be done by leaving a blank line like I did from the sentence above.

Try copying this post into the demo and see how it sounds.

This plus EmilyV3 is pretty good.

Does anyone have a trick on how to get a more enthused voice?

All of these seem very mellow and monotone.

It's a free method so can't really complain much but i'm looking for an excited voice for promotional videos.
