Yes going on in many places of the world, BUT where has it been going on the longest with the highest volume (hint USA), and thos were all Africans mainly from Ghana., So excuse if I offended you and then just refer to African-American so you can sleep better.

And no slavery is not something to apply to fucking lockdown for corona. You can go to the store right? You can watch m, eat whatever you want at home. You don't cry slavery because you have to wear a mask, period.

The goal was never to get rid of the virus. You can not get rid of the virus. The goal was to flatten the curve in order to prevent the health care system/hospitals to collapse.

People and governments need to learn to live with this virus. There is no way around. Therefore a lockdown is not a good idea. Why? Because it will destroy even more lives. People will lose their job. People will get depressed. I have one friend in Milan, Italy, who had to stay in his tiny apartment for more than 2 months, couldn't meet his parents or grandparents. Luckily he has a PS4, PS Plus and FIFA 20 (which eventually turned him more depressive cuz the game is absolute shite)

What you wanna do? Hide in the apartment until there is a vaccine or cure? Oh, guess what? Even if there is a vaccine, there are many people who don't want to get vaccinated.

Politics aside, you can't force people to stay home and that is one major contributor for why it's going to be around for a long time. People are going to go out and exercise their freedom of choice. I think people have conceded.. if I get it I get it and if I don't I don't, but there is a growing mindset that you aren't going to keep me at home. Just my 2 cents.

Not a single country in the world comes even close to the control they applied in China after corona. You basically can't leave your home without a smart phone, and each your move is monitored.

I do not say it is good--I would never ever oblige to such policies and limitations of freedom. BUT, it's a reason why China has 10-20 new cases daily after reopening, when US and other countries have thousands...

Yes FIFA 20 is indeed a mess, enough to drive any strong-willed person insane. I really hope the projected job losses don't materialise. Life may change after the dust has settled, but hopefully for the better (working conditions/style etc).

Reading this thread has been insightful on what the worldviews are on this pandemic and how it differs from every country. I am extremely lucky to live in a country that hasn't had a single local case in over a month (yes, it's true). Yet, I am still massively financially hurt by this pandemic. My business is about helping ex-pats who just moved here, but there hasn't been a single ex-pat since March. It looks like it is going to stay like that for a long time because the other part of the world can't get its shit together and we're not going to allow anyone in from countries with an active spread.

To everyone: please take care of yourself, your friends, loved ones, neighbors, everyone. The only way to stop this is to be proactive and be a tad more selfless and responsible for once in your life.
