Ahrefs Hacks - 4 Part Guide

It sounds like you have not used Pinterest for IM a huge amount? I was in the same boat a month or so ago, so watched a ton of YT video's to try and get my head around it. Bottom line, don't waste your time on the videos, most of them are just trying to sell you a course or follow their affiliate link (I know, who would have thought :D) and are out dated.

All you need to do is:
  1. Create an account
  2. Convert it into a business account (free)
  3. Confirm your money site
  4. Create boards
  5. Add pins to the boards with carefully chosen keywords
  6. Pin other users pins, like a normal user
That is it. I spent less time doing the above then it took me to watch the YT videos! I have not joined any groups, just posted my pins.

My pins get 500k+ views per month (2 month old account) and generate tons of traffic and sales.

Hello,
if i'm understanding correctly, i need to create a board, add my pin to my website, also add other popular pins, from other people, am i correct? if it's so how many other pins should i add? Is one pin enough?

Hi there,

I went through your thread (which is great) and it's pretty clear how you are doing things.
I am not going to ask why you decided to hide your pages from google because you may have your personal reasons, but I would like to ask if you registered your website on pinterest to make your pins rich pins or you avoided to do so in order to promote several websites url's under the same account?
.

I hid my pages as I did not want google to index them. I ripped a couple straight off another site for one of my accounts, so was not concerned with Google traffic, I was only targeting social.

I did register my site on Pinterest, but never used Rich pins. I only ever promote 1 site under a single account.

Usefull hacks... Good share buddy...

You are welcome, I am pleased they helped.

Can you tell us What's your strategy to use # and Keywords in your PIN?
Thanks for the Idea

That is actually not an easy question to answer.

There does not seem to be a way to effectively track hashtags on Pinterest, so I just use whatever the pin I am copying uses. Or if I am not copying a pin, I only use 1 or 2, otherwise it looks spammy.

For KW's, the best thing I have found to plan my KW's, is to go through the motions of placing an ad/boosting a pin, and use their tool to get an idea of reach etc.

But again, based on the pin I am copying, I have a fairly good idea of what KW's to use, so do not deviate from that too much, unless I am creating a fresh pin for my account.

Great stuff. Thanks for the share bro!

No problem and you are welcome.

I've been testing Pinterest traffic for a few months now and the results are promising. I will try out the tricks that you are suggesting OP.
Thanks!
Cheers

Best of luck, let us know how you get on. Always encouraging to hear feedback and success stories.

so for those methods to work we need $99 Ahrefs, right ?

I just get the $7 trial, or you can use group buy tools.

Welcome :)

You need to act naturally, so add pins to your boards, as a normal person would. You do not need to add pins to every one of your boards, but it is a good idea to mix it up. I create Pinterest business accounts, so it is fairly normal to have boards which just have pins from my website. But I have other boards which are a mix.

Very cool. I tried a Pinterest driven affiliate program in the past but couldn't keep up with the content. Great workaround you have here.

Do you only monetize with Amazon Aff and Clickbank products?
What other methods do you use? Pinterest bans your domain when you redirect to CPA offer or your cpa landing page.

Ahrefs has a LOT of hidden gems which can help you make a decent amount of money. Most IM'ers focus on competitor analysis and KW research, but they miss some of the best hacks that Ahrefs has to offer.

So, after reading @Geasy's recent post and posting another trick I find useful yesterday, I thought I would share 4 other 'Hacks' which help me drive easy traffic to my site without any link building, and build killer content.

I will post a new Hack every week, so if you like what you see, be sure to check back for more.

Part 1 - Pinterest Hack

Pinterest is a great, no effort way to generate huge amounts of traffic to your site, without having to build any links or mess around with confusing on-page SEO, worry about KW density, number of words or any of the rest of that crap.

Here’s how I use Ahrefs to find my Pinterest content topics:

1. Search for a broad topic in Content Explorer
2. Add a filter for social shares - Depending on Niche, something like >10000

3. Find an easy target to rip off.

Scan the results for something which fits your niche and has a decent amount of shares. In this example for baseball bat, I chose something which could fit a baseball equipment or general sports niche.

4. Take a look at the pin image and post to get an idea of what works.

Ahrefs used to allow you to drill down to the pin by clicking on the red Pinterest share total on the right hand side, this does not seem to work at present. So, head over to Pinterest and type the name of the Pin we have found. In our example, this would be "12 Groomsmen Gifts We Love".

Tip: 99% of the time, a pin is created from a money page, so it will have the same name on Pinterest, which makes it easy to find ;)

5. Checkout the Pin design to see what is clearly working already.

We can see that this is the same site as on Ahrefs and that they keep it simple and tell their audience straight up that they can find all of these on Etsy (via their Awin affiliate link of course).

6. Replicate.

So all you have to do is create a new page on your site and add the pin with a few KW's. The beauty of this hack is the page you are going to create is really simple and it will take hardly any time at all to put together.

You can see this from the image of the example site below, it is pretty much a picture gallery with Awin affiliate links to the products on Etsy! How quick and easy is that?

Conclusion

A lot of IM'ers don’t know where to begin with Pinterest marketing, but using this simple Ahrefs hack you can start getting traffic and sales today.

Personally, I have had tons of success with Pinterest and this hack just makes it insanely easy to get ideas, content and traffic.

Let me know what you think and stay tuned for Part 2 of the Ahrefs Hacks Guide.

sorry for spamming, do you use mother and child method?
i think one account won't pull that much traffic.

Is this better than adsense?
Let's say I have 50k unique visitors every month how much of a profit I should expect?
I will start this project with 10 accounts and 10 domains, do you think home decor is a good choice?
How many pins you post a day and what's your impressions after a month?

>>Is this better than adsense?

For me, absolutely. I make way more in commission sales than ad views, but there is nothing to stop you having both.

>>Let's say I have 50k unique visitors every month how much of a profit I should expect?

I wrote a guide on this a few weeks back.

Home decor is a perfect choice for the Pinterest audience.

If you read my earlier replies you will find screenshots and answers to this question.

Great piece of content, I didnt know Pinterest could be used this way.

Does this still work now with the way AHREFs has changed?

Ive searched for a broad topic, got the results, searched for the name (presuming the name is the URL?) but it doesn't bring the pin up?
