Copyright issue query on a quiz site

I am planning to make a quiz playing a video/music clip for 10 seconds followed by a question based on the clip.
Does it come under copyright infringement?
Could you answer in detail, please.

Are you planning to download videos/music from other sites and upload to your own site? That can cause some problems.

YouTube also changed the rules recently and now creators can appeal for copyright even if less than 10 seconds of music is used (that only applies on YouTube though)

If you are embedding and giving proper credits, that shouldn't be a problem.

If you get videos from other sites to yours it will be issue perhaps giving proper credits may solve the copyright issue !

You can get away with it under the 'fair use' doctrine. Google it for more info
But if someone wants to be an as$%^&e they can file a claim against you, if you don't agree with it you can file a counterclaim or take them to court. Obviously they know that you won't do it.

Yes, you will be infringing copyright. While I doubt you'll get sued, I'll either ask for permission or toe the line and stay on the good books of my source of traffic, especially if I want to run ads.

One of our guys does that - it works just fine with no copyright issue. I don’t believe it’s something you should be worrying about much.

I don't think its possible to use some videos without permission, it will cause copyright issue and it can be taken down at anytime. It better to ask permission and give credit to the source.

Its okay to use, give credit to owner. This will not be issue.
