Hi folks, I'm currently running a webinar for my business.

So I setup ads for conversion (pixeled) on the landing page, however, things are moving rather slowly.

I need some feedback from FB ads vets here, if I should do this:

- Run a lead magnet for second campaign, objective is conversion (download checklist).

- Retarget people who downloaded for the webinars.

Any thoughts on this?

How many ad sets and ads are you running?

Did you do a whole bunch and see which ones are converting the best?

Maybe your Copy is not what your audience wants or is lacking, there's a lot of things that can cause "slow conversions" and not enough data for us to really give decent advice.

Lookalike audiences are probably your best bet in my opinion (if you have gotten enough data to do them)

I would not retarget people that have already downloaded your webinars but that's just me, especially for a download product, if they already have it, why would they go back?

So the idea is to give them a lead magnet (checklist), then I retarget them for my webinars. Two different products but related.

If you don't have any previous data, this is how I would start as well >> lead magnet + retargeting + email campaign. You have to somehow warm them up.

The structure of the funnel would be: lead magnet > download > webinar offer. So they see the webinar offer and have an option to apply right through this funnel. They see the offer once and became 'warmer'.

At the same time, you create retargeting and email campaigns 'to fire' right away based on where through the funnel are they.
- Retargeting for those that downloaded & saw the webinar offer but didn't apply.
- Retargeting for those that applied but didn't show up.

Once you have enough audience (data), you create LAA audiences and run ads separately for:
- Those that downloaded your lead magnet (exclude those that went through the webinar). Here you can run/test 2 campaigns; first to the lead magnet and second directly to the webinar. You might find out that the ads are working well enough for the webinar, so you can cut that extra step with lead magnet.
- Those that went through the webinar.

LAA audiences usually outperform your direct interest targeting.

If you really have a good lead magnet I would test Facebook lead ads as well alongside regular traffic/conversion ads, and compare the quality of the leads. Usually, lead ads are way cheaper but sometimes the quality can be lower due to the simplicity of how they apply/register with one click since the FB already has their data (they don't have to fill-up the form and just change an email if that's what it's needed).

Good luck!

So I should not be doing ads directly to the webinar, you reckon?

what do you mean by enough data for lookalike audience ? what does it take ?

Very helpful indeed. Didn't know at all that LAA could outperform direct targeting.
