Is this a known scam and happened to others ?

It's just not the way google operates. Your balance should clearly appear on your account. There should be no guessing if this is a scam or not. Just log into your account and see the balance there.

Yes, It's a google collection agency - https://support.google.com/google-ads/thread/1453739 . They might not send them to you for 60$ but it's a real email for sure. I'm sure that sending these emails are just an automatic process whoever owes money to google.

The scam would look like what is posted in last reply of above linked thread as google employees won't ask you for your card details. It doesn't even have a link to pay (a usual trick to scam), they are telling you to go log into your account and pay the outstanding balance.

To people who is saying it's a scam just because it has "Dear" - FYI most of the professional letters/email will have "Dear" if the person knows your name, it's just a formal salutation.

"Hi", "Hello" is usually informal and don't use "Bro" outside of your friends and family circle. Maybe you didn't take your English classes?

This looks like a completely legitimate email. It tells you where to check in your account. Did you look there? Do you owe them money? If so, you should expect them to try to get you to pay... I mean, google is not just going to ignore the fact that you owe them.

“dear” is 100% the appropriate formal salutation in a business letter. Almost any legal notice you get will have a “Dear Y/N” opening.

If you have a balance owed in your account and you don’t pay for a while, then google is going to sell that balance to a collection agency. The collection agency will then try to collect.

Also, scammers don’t tell you to login into your account and give you instructions on how to check your balance. They give you a link to click to their dodgy site. What scammer would just tell you to log in to your google account? No point.

You're proving @nikiobicata 's point. The link you sent is a message FROM the collection agency. The one from OP is a message from GOOGLE saying its the last warning before being transferred to the collection agency. It's not a legal email, it's google sending an email.

Also OP just so you know, Adwords doesn't exist and became google ads, your messages should come from "[email protected]". Unless you got this email years ago.

Google, and millions of other businesses, uses “Dear name” as the salutation on formal emails.

This is clearly not a scam. What would the scam be? There’s no link. So the scammer wants op to login in to his google account and follow the instructions to pay his outstanding balance? Where’s the scam?

The email is legit as i got it to from them after owing an outstanding payment......i simply just ignored tbh
