Hello guys,

So, just got rejected from Amazon, after sending 3 qualified purchases.

I received this message from them:

[my site] includes an unapproved use of Amazon trademarked words, images, or reviews which may include variations or misspellings and this is a violation of our Trademark Guidelines found here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/policies?ac-ms-src=ac-nav#As.... An example of the above violation can be found here: [page of site not compliant with amazon TOS]

The problem is that I'm not finding what I have on the site, that is not compliant with their TOS regarding their Trademark Guidelines.

I'm not using their Logo, my Button that redirects to Amazon has the Text "CHECK PRICE"

I'm thinking that probably it could be the product images. I'm using the Woozone affiliate plugin and it extracts the images from Amazon, and they remain hosted remotely by Amazon. I haven't downloaded them.

I also use the Rehub Theme and it has a Star Rating similar to the one Amazon uses, but still I don't know if this is the reason

Can anyone shed some light on this? I have been reading online but cannot find a proper answer.

Regards

Just one another side note:

Just read that "wishlist" is also trademarked by Amazon and I have on my site also as "add to wishlist"

Probably something that I need to change.

You're probably right about the wishlist. Your button text sounds fine. I host all the images right on my server btw, just make sure to source them direct from the distributor for no violations.

Another thought on this part "reviews which may include variations or misspellings"... did you spin Amazon reviews for content?

Hey,

Thanks for the answer.

No, all the content is original.

Hum, ok :)

Then I will change that text and reapply.

Seems that the process of applying to Amazon Associates has to be done with trial and error.

So I just make the changes and apply again?

Regards

Honestly I can't advise you because I did all my domains 5 years ago. But I have heard they are getting less tolerant of coupon and deal type websites, along with mock product pages. I have seen ReHub and it's pretty good. If you're not using spun content, and offer value to readers, I would guess it's just the Wishlist trademark issue. Good luck.

Thanks man,

Really appreciated your feedback.

Im really focusing on good content on the site, even though it has a deal type functionality that is only a small part of the site. I really wanted to add value to the user.

Best Regards

The images that you are using should be hosted on amazon's server.

The images that you are using should be hosted on amazon's server.

Images are already hosted on Amazon as OP is using Woozone affiliate plugin.

I guess it is to do with add to wishlist thing.

Yes the images are being hosted on Amazon. Even thought Woozone has both options: to host them yourself (against Amazon TOS) or remote hosted by Amazon.

So, the Rehub theme has the option to remove the Wishlist functionality which I did. I was trying to replace the String "add to Wishlist" with "add to Favorites" but at the time being this is not a priority functionality that I need on my site, I just want to be approved and then go from there.

Does anyone know if I need another 3 qualifying purchases after reapplying for the Amazon Associates?

If so, this is going to be a pain in the ass :)

Mate first of all FUCK AMAZON. They are giving 3 percent from sales. Just put adsense if they reject you. You would almost make the same money. Secondly if you are insisting about Amazon, they usually give that "reason" to kick you out if anywhere on your site use Amazon Logo, OR description, content or title has Amazon in it. Just put the disclaimer which Amazon says you should put it on your site. Also When you click "See Price" button make sure it doesn't redirect like this: http://yourwebsite.com/shortproductulr -> amazon url . They ban it asap. Use Amazon URL directly instead. Some plugins does this automatically for SEO purposes to reduce outgoing links. But amazon doesn't want it.

You just remind me I'd sign up for Amazon affiliate but with 3% I'm off

Have you got approved now? If not let me know

Got some news? I'm in the same situation: multiple ban for trademark. The point is that my website is not against any of TOS

Hello and sorry for the late reply.

Yes I have been approved after removing the "add to wishlist" option. It seems that was the problem.

Best Regards
First of all, Congratz. Can you tell me that you had to make another 3 qualifying purchases after reapplying for the Amazon Associates?
