Sport Betting

How about inside info about bookies ?

If you reach to work on this position it is awesome, sadly i don't have any knowledge in data analysis so i couldn't be on this position. I was Live Data sport caster and you could find very nice opportunities there, sometimes bookies are slower with updating what's happening in match (in low league matches) so you can basically bet on an outcome that you already saw on the stream, if you know where to watch it without big delay. Often times bookies will decline your withdrawal if you did that and instantly requested withdraw with a message that they made a mistake and return you your betted money, but there is work around on that too. It's a nice way to make some money, but you have to spend a lot of time for research etc.

For my opinion there are two ways to be good at sport betting: 1) have good insides from different sources; 2) follow sports for a long time, navigate in the form of players and teams, injuries, tournament situations, etc

I used to know people at 2 big racing yards and was told when stable money was going down on horses. That information was worth its weight in gold.

Many years ago I was invited into a group of bettors from the far east, who rigged matches. It was interesting to see which games they were betting on, because the Asian exchanges slashed odds then Betfair and Betdaq followed, then the UK bookies.

Yes, i have been an obsessive gamer.
I made around $4.6k in 8 days betting on soccer, starting from $85 (Yes, seriously)!

A common misconception among many gamblers is that you have to win if you just use the statistics! That's BS!
Statistics means shit...!
I never read statistics, i simply went with my gut for all the games.
I only live bet too.

I make a supplemental income betting NFL and NBA. My buddy lives in Vegas and is a math genius and does NBA and I tail him, and for NFL I watch all the games. Every week. It's a lot of work. We both use situational capping a lot. All your stats and trends are public ie they're already priced into the lines. You can't look at basic stuff like points per game, etc. Or this team is 8-2 in their last 10 while the other team is 3-7. This is how people get slaughtered.

We prefer coaching tendencies, situational capping, public perception, line movement, etc.

Also, I hope you have a strong stomach. Statistical variance is a bitch. You will go 70-30 and make a lot of money and follow it up by going 40-60. You have to have good money management and not be emotionally attached. Whatever money you have for betting you should only use 1% per bet, so if you have $10,000 only bet $100 per wager.

Sports are always evolving, too so you have to keep up with them. It's like poker and trading - you need hard work and great money management while keeping your emotions out of it. You're looking to repeat an investment into a profitable situation over and over again long-term. Short term variance will always be nuts.

I've made over 15,000 bets the past 6 years and have a 56% win-rate. People see that and don't realize how good it is. That's against an average line of - 110, and making Constantly betting large favorites is a trap that will never be profitable long-term. Same thing with parlays. Stay away from them.

You're grinding out units over a slightly better than break even bet rate. The more money you have behind you the more these few units turn into from a profit standpoint.

That's pretty crazy. What sort of rigging did they do? Winner? Score? I'd love to find a genuine group doing this (as sketchy as it is) but to get genuine information like that is almost impossible. I manage to get the odd bit of info on horses but always looking for more sources.

I'd never get into capping. As addictedtolearning said - you need to get your strike rate a little above 50% to make money and even then you want to have a big bankroll to see a good return.

My biggest earner is football (or soccer for you American folk). Since being a nerd and inputting every bet into a spreadsheet and working out profit/loss I found it changed my betting habits. I've found my markets and make very consistent profit. I pretty much place my bets the day before or in the morning and let them ride. Then spend 10 mins inputting everything into my spreadsheet. It's oddly satisfying!

Another income stream I'm looking at setting up over the coming weeks is creating a paid service for a small number of people so as to not shift the odds too much. Unfortunately this niche is saturated with idiots guessing and hoping for a good streak of wins before charging for a "VIP" service which ultimately loses money. It's a shame really. I'm not sure whether it'll work out but only time will tell! I had planned to use Twitter to build an audience but that's overrun with horrendous "tipsters".

I also meant to ask which Asian exchanges you used/would have used if you don't mind me asking?

Mansion was one and 188bet was another I used, as well as Betfair and Daq

betting business is very dangerous if your don't have times of your initial staking amount.it need more care and attention.finally is lucky business.Am also a though, nothing is 100% sure in game betting but my winning rate is 80%.I sell picks and as well bet.

Problem also if you win big money then bookie not want to pay you or close your account and you have no way to get money from bookie.

Looks like with gold rush, money is in selling picks or services to gamblers, not you be gambler and rely on bookies to pay you because most bookie not want to pay you.

Makes total sense didnt even look into this any further.

in the end it's betting, the big shot will win always!

I'm personally developing a machine learning algorithm to predict outcomes of matches. Already have a script to gather data and things are looking good.

hey man. is there a course or something we can learn machine learning for prediction of matches? im interested to learn. thanks

google this "How to Improve Sports Betting Odds — Step by Step Guide in Python" interesting read

I used statarea.com for all my predictions ranging from numbers of goal to who will win. You can also use soccer24.com as well.

Note that in sport betting nothing I guarantee.
