(Help) Which plugin is better than fuckin* yoast?

Jeez. Last i looked at a seo plugin for wordpress thread yoast was all the rage.

What the hell is going on :p

Apparently Yoast really fucked up with the last updates.

Also Yoast rested on own laurels while others were developing innovative tools.

Mmm i dont update anything. Updates are designed in hell :)

+1 rank math. They have a forum that will always help you if you need anything

Same question here.
Like Rank Math is totally free. I have heard that they have rights about your website information. This is the only weakness, but I will not worried about that, Its plugin is simply amaizing

A lot of folks complain about bloat or dumbing it down, but you have to understand that with such wide usage (5M+ installs) that's inevitable. The tradeoff is that there are a LOT of contributors and use cases that are also making it better.

Rank math recently crashed my site, deactivated the plugin and everything was fine. Installed Yoast and everything was good. Not sure if it is a Festinger cracked theme issue or not, as I was a little surprised.

Is it safe to switch from Yoast to RankMath? Would that cause any harm?

Same question here.

Switching from one site map plugin to another will always create a headache as you basically resubmitting your site map causing Google bot(s) to re-crawl the whole website again. In the short term, you'll see rank fluctuations, in the long, I don't know. When it comes to a site map plugin best is to do your homework and stick to one for the long run.

Personally I have had a love-hate relationship with Yoast, their updates are always untested, unstable and a loose cannon. You'll never know what to expect. It's going to be a hit or miss creating havoc. The guy is basically crazy Dutch with compete disregard how his updates will affect the end-user. He doesn't give a shit. His initial success went over his head and he is trying to ride the wave.

I used to be Yoast paid subscriber until things went terribly wrong, asked them to give me access to previous version which they did (not without blaming me for their shit update), and canceled my subscription. I still use it as I don't want to confuse Google or resubmit my site map, but it's a stable version from a couple of years ago. It works fine for me.

As for RankMath, I'm not sure about that, to fully enjoy the benefits you have to create an account with details about your website. That scared the shit out of me as I don't know how they might use it. Love or hate Yoast, they don't ask for such info. Got to give them a credit for that. If you use Yoast DO NOT update until you read users' feedback. If you see negative comments, sit back and wait and always have a backup in case things go wrong so you can revert to the previous version.

Has anyone tried squirrelly it seems a sick plugin but not sure if it’s actually good? I had avoided rankmath after @Festinger gave us the head up to avoid it, as he was on their team and page too and he didn’t like what he saw

My current project is based on SM traffic and I have always used Yoast (free) on my sites with no issues, but as I can read in this thread, it's time to RankMath it baby!

I hate Yoast, it's so confusing and messed up, I suggest you to use Rank Math instead

I'm just adding another vote for Rank Math. I switched to Rank Math about 4 or 5 months ago, and haven't looked back. I was able to import all of my settings from Yoast. Rank Math also handles redirects so I was able to import those as well. It's like having paid Yoast for free.
