I suggested that I'll handle the outreach myself and won't charge for the time, but only for deals I close. I managed the entire prospecting, negotiating and closing part myself.

Yeah bro. Just one deal.
That's a solid idea, and I'd be looking into offering such services to big companies.

No. The client is a trader. That's really crazy. Since 40 have replied. Assuming, some might have been replied with 50/50 on their decision (if that's the case), maybe you can expect at least a couple more replies. Since it's B2B, even a smaller deal than the one you have closed can get a huge chunk of share.
Now, that's where you got a new business model.
I don' know if I am going deep asking you this. Was the client a manufacturer? Just curious.
No. The client is a trader.
Yes, still discussing with the other leads. Let's see![]()
Involved a lot of phone calls.Oh BTW. Was it all closed through email and chat? Or, you called them once they started showing interest?
Involved a lot of phone calls.
That's absolutely crazy! Congratulations!
I have a few questions. Feel free to not answer any if they are too personal.
1) How much was the deal worth for you to get that commission?
2) Did you already agree a percentage commission before you closed the deal or you just added on your commission to the total price?
3) What was the product? Ventilators or something like that?
4) What's your plans for your new found riches?
5) Do you think this is at all repeatable? Are you thinking of selling this product yourself or doing more sales for people on upwork?
Of course outside UpworkWow, though the questions are good, I think those are too straight forward, which might be hard for @stepdub to answer all of them with accuracy.
I have another question. Did this extension take place within Upwork or you people dealt this outside? If it was within Upwork, then they would also have bitter a big chunk of that money.

What do you do?
What do you do?
Please PM me a few links to your work. I worked with someone from Nigeria for 2D Animation. Very talented guy and I got us a $700 job in two days of starting the JV but he got greedy and wanted to renegotiate the deal2D animation and motion graphics.

I hope you won't change the terms later on and accuse me of slavery just cuz I bid and you do the work. Getting a job on Upwork is more difficult than doing the actual work.
Sent you a PM.Don't worry once we have a deal, I won't break. Although for animation, pricing depends on the nature of the job to be done.
I wanted to send you a PM but seems I don't know my way around here cos I am new .
Could you send me a PM instead so I can reply with a sample of my work
