Site 1

Is starting to get some impressions from GSC. This took some time as the country was set to the USA. I changed it to the UK and added in some UK cities, impressions are now coming from the right place.

I went out for a hike with my wife and kids yesterday after work. We are getting ready to do the same again for the day today. If I have the energy when I am back I will add another couple of articles.

The client I had a week or two back is enquiring about me writing some more articles for his specialized niche. Tomorrow I will write a content plan for another 20 articles. Another £1000 or so will then go towards links for site 1.

I also have a quick meeting tomorrow morning with a local sports club owner who wants me to run his Facebook ads and Google ads on a retainer. Probably won't be much but enough to keep me occupied.

Tbh these clients were just random. One just bought a fitness forum I am part of, and I offered to help him grow it with content, the other is a Karate teacher for my son.

Anyway.


Site 1

Website is more or less finished. Looks nice, Home page, about us, contact, blog, one article page on the main menu, then a privacy policy.

It is fast and has around 7k words of content.

I have ordered a link from MisterF to the homepage, also have 3 x PBNs going to the homepage this month spread about.

I will continue to add the rest of the articles. Should be close to 20k words soon.

LinkedIn profile created for it, I will repost the content here once a week just for social signals.

Client 1 - 3 x articles a month. I will try to push him for five and make a little more money out of it. Could make £300 from 5 articles and that will go straight to links.

Client 2 - Had a meeting, he wants an assistant to do Google ads for £10 an hour. Unfortunately, it isn't worth me being distracted from my current projects for that, not knocking it, just not for me.

I will offer him a retainer price of £300 per month plus an hourly rate for some videography he may want doing if he takes it great if he doesn't then no loss.

Trust me, I have procrastinated a lot as well. I should have finished this site by now.

Another article up on site 1. Social media post done with a link back to the homepage.

The site is showing as indexed in Google but I think GSC is still being mega slow as there is no way I am only ranking for such few keywords with 7k words of content on my site.

I will put it down to the current worldy situations.

Links are starting to come in.

I am running a Google ads campaign on it to see how people react on my site and on the cornerstone content.

This will help me to optimise it and make any changes.

The site is coming up to a month old so no rush.

Still sat at around 8k words of content., primarily down to my own time. Links are starting to come in.

Received my first lead/inquiry via email which is great; means the site is clear and the objective is being understood by the clients.

Current spend on Google ads is around £14 with 40 clicks.

Other projects

Site 2 is still on hold, although as mentioned I do not mind it sitting there for a while and maturing.

My BST is being reviewed, 4k hour Youtube watch hours.

I am contemplating building another brand which will mostly be run by Google ads, cost per click seems reasonable for the ROI. I do want to do this but I have procrastinated about it.

Work is going well. Being asked to learn some Android/Kotlin and work on that team for the next month away from iOS which is great.

0.35 per click is cheap. Are u targeting only Uk with adwords? Good luck with your BST

Yep. It may go cheaper than that when I optimise.

This is strictly the UK, so will be my new project which will rely solely on ad words for the first six months.
