need some casual advice on SEO

i own a small e commerce store in gaming niche and seo in my niche is dominated by gaming giants like g2g.com , playerauction.com and i dont think ill be able to compete with them but there are other private websites which are doing pretty well like myownrank and buyacsgosmurf.com for words like "csgo accounts" "buy csgo accounts" "csgo prime accounts". my website is csgosmurfkings.com and im pretty much on the 2nd page in usa.

can anyone be kind enough to tell me whats the seo strategy adopted by buyacsgosmurf and myownrank? and what should i do to outrank them?

Could be, but there isn't an easy way to figure that out. Even if you know the strategy, what you are really asking is:

which SEO thing that they are doing that puts them at #1?

That is really hard since it really is a group effort between all of the tactics. If you want to be #1, then you need to do everything better. Better articles, better backlinks, better SEO, better ads. This doesn't mean more, more does not equal better. You need to focus on what better means for your niche. It is hard to know exactly what "better" is, good luck.

Let´s quickly browse myownrank.com backlink profile since it´s the biggest authority domain on your niche from those you mention.

Look to the referring Domain tabs filter by the ones with the most do follow backlinks...

As you can see from the screenshot above, myownrank.com is getting a significant amount of "link juice" from sites like Wikidot and steinberg.

I never heard of steinberg.net before but take a look at what they do...

Do you think that´s a relevant site? I think not so, let´s not worry about it and go back to wikidot for a moment. Take a look what we get when I run a search for "site:wikidot.com CS:GO...

There are over 3,000 subdomains that are build around that keyword. My guesses are, those guys own a lot of those pages and linking back to their main site.

Now, let´s take a look at yours...

Are you seeing what I see? Your top 3 referring domains with the most do-follow backlinks to your sites are .edu domains and, I don´t think I need to tell you those are NOT relevant to your niche.

In fact, I don´t think there´s a single domain there that is relevant to your niche.

You need to refocus your linkbuilding efforts and give relevance a lot more weight. It´s not just about the number of authoritative domains linking back to your site but also how relevant are these domains to your niche.

And, I am not even diving into other crucial and critical areas of SEO many BHWers already mention like technical and on-page SEO, keyword research, and high-quality and relevant content.

I am personally also getting troubled by these big fish in my niche too.
So the best solution so far I have found is too try to win the snippet by following income school.

Apart from that add FAQ schema, 2-3 unique self-created images, embed YouTube video, review schema, article/product schema, rating schema, infographics, breadcrumbs, tables, bullet point list, mobile friendly, page load time in <3 seconds, no need to write meta description when you have optimized page for featured snippets.

Outgoing links to research papers, journals and magazines from your article. Whom you link to tells a lot about your page.

If your posts allow, you can add some numbers, brackets and power words.

When all of the above doesn't give you ranking then think of doing contextual linkbuilding.

Please search "KineMaster Mod apk download" and see how these top 10 pages have got their rank. That keyword is super competitive and has monthly >400K-500k traffic. AL of them have fought hard to get their rankings.
