It will be easier to blog and write something for topics you already know about bc as you know blogging takes consistency

Some good ways to return up with niche ideas are:

• Your room/house. Just check out the objects you own and see if any of them spark a thought
• Your lifestyle - an equivalent idea – believe what you are doing on a day to day and see if anything pops out
• Blogs you read
• Magazine articles
• Amazon, eBay, and other shopping sites (look at your favorite products, categories, or your order history)

Although the simplest niches are Health/Fitness and Money making. I suggest employing a niche that you're curious about. Add value together with your content and help others.

Once you give value to your blog readers they're going to read your content and come back to you due to the trust you've got generated.

Go with the niche you´re the most knowledgable and passionate about. If there´s something that falls into both categories then, you have your niche.

If by any chance is a niche with high levels of competition then try to find a different angle or perspective. But, nothing beats getting your feet wet on something you have an "authority" on. Especially when it comes to both knowledge and passion.

People recommending diving into stuff like tech, gaming, or make money online aren´t necessarily saying you need to open a blog about those general topics.

You have to realize something right now... THOSE AREN´T NICHES THOSE ARE MARKETS!!

Niche is something much narrower and specific.

Like, let´s take gaming for a moment.

A niche can be gaming chairs for example. Then you can build a blog around gaming chairs or, if you´re launching an affiliate site then, you can build an affiliate blog around the keyword "best gaming chairs".

If you want to "niche-down" a bit further then you can target something like "Best gaming chair for back pain" or "Best gaming chair for a big guy" or something like that.

You need to understand that when people (like the ones here posting above) recommend diving into tech, gaming, or make money aren´t necessarily saying you need to open a blog about those general topics but, instead, find a niche inside those markets.

If you´re having issues selecting a niche, Miles Becker recently released a couple of videos from his paid course about niche research. I mean, I used to be a big fan of his when I was starting out but not so much know since I am more capable of spotting BS when I see it

There’s good advice in this thread, but you shouldn’t follow it blindly. I won’t repeat it, but I will tell you what I think is a good way of choosing among what is mentioned.
What are you passionate about, OP? For instance, the health niche will always be going strong (for obvious reasons), but do you see yourself working on it with sustained passion? Thing is, most people don’t. Not really, so they burn out and leave the project halfway, perhaps even earlier.
I’d advise that you simply pick a strong niche that you have the most interest in. For instance, if it’s games, go for games. If it is a particular game, even better! You can start specialized and then branch out to games in general. The more passionate you are about it, the easier it will be for you to meet your own deadlines and keep creating quality content.

First, you must know the definition of a niche:
"A blog niche is a specific topic you’ll write (or create other types of content) about on your blog."
Now, the problem comes to it because everyone has his definition of a specific topic.

Step 1:
First, you must be specific about your niche. For example, do not say I am going to write about gaming, instead choose to write about a certain game or something...

Step 2:
Consider your future goals, too!

When starting a new blog, I like to keep the blog name fairly broad so I have the freedom to expand my target audience without rebranding (check out our posts on https://bloggingwizard.com/choose-domain-name/ and https://bloggingwizard.com/choose-a-blog-name/ if you need help).

Yeah, rebranding would be a pain!

You don’t have to do this, but, I wanted to mention it because a lot of people don’t consider this until after they launch.

  • Go with a topic that you love and that also has a huge audience…but no money-making opportunities, then you might become popular, but you won’t earn an income (this one actually might be OK – it depends on your goals!).
  So how do you choose a blog niche that gets an A+ for all three criteria? Try honestly answering these three questions…
  

Question 1: Will I love writing about this topic 50+ posts or 1 year in the future?
Do not be like most people. You start hard with one post a week and after couple of months, your number of posts has gradually decreased until eventually, you stop writing.
Question 2: Am I have audience that will read this?
Luckily, today this step is much easier than when I was started. You can use tools like google keyword planner or google trends to help you out.
Question 3: Can I make money from this niche?
The key to this step is to be creative and look and other similar blogs. If this blog is not making any money, do not worry, you can always be creative and make some money unless you have an audience. Here are some ideas:

2. create your own product (this could be a little bit hard but this will definitely pay off in the future)
