For anybody looking to try this out I would recommend skipping creating a site for it and just host the quizzes on YouTube and just earn revenue from AdSense through it. You don't have to pay for a domain name or worry about running traffic to it.
You can simply buy a monetized channel for $200 or $300 bucks and start hosting the quizzes and slowly making money that way. Just make quiz videos and put the answers at the end of the video and test which categories are the most popular and do your research.
Doing it with a site is just a headache and really not necessary for this method and it will save you some time.
Some people reported FB banning their domain if they post in groups etc... So I was wondering how about if website visitors/quiz participators will be sharing quizzes, let's say not once but abusively a few times. Or what if they start sharing quizzes in some FB groups, I know it will bring traffic so it is good but won't FB ban your website domain this way?
Thanks for the method @se900se !
Thanks, man! I was planning on getting into this myself once I had enough funds to buy a YouTube channel for it.This is quite a spin on this method.
Are you finding that people tend to watch these quiz videos all the way through?
Thanks, man! I was planning on getting into this myself once I had enough funds to buy a YouTube channel for it.
I don't know if they're watching these quiz videos all the way through for sure but I believe they are because if it's set up really well then people will be curious to play the game all the way through. I believe if you setup a really good quiz the watch time will be high on these videos.
Quiz videos have been popular since the beginning years of YouTube so it's definitely a niche if you fully invest yourself into it will do very well for you in the long run.
I was thinking about testing it with YouTube Content ID and doing music or TV theme guessing quiz games. If those do well then the audience for it will be huge once I buy the YouTube channel for it.
Share, don’t spam, and you’ll be just fine.
When users share - they share on a personal profile.
FB won’t ban if many different users share, otherwise every domain, including Google would be banned.
Yeah, I get the part about sharing but what if let's say people won't share it on their profile page but will start spamming groups and other pages posts with my quiz website link?
Or let's say competitor will try to get my domain banned...
Yep totally agree that's the main job of the YouTuber is to provide content that entices the viewer to stay watching all the way through the video. A lot of these games are played amongst families, a group of friends, or at parties so if you can get those audiences to play them they'll likely not skip the video if the quizzes are done well.True, like anything its a function of the ability to entice the viewer to stay.
Your music / TV seems solid but I could see copyright issues presenting themselves. That would be my worry.
@se900se First of all, Thank you for the share,
I am thinking of adding quizzes to my website as an addon, Which plugin you prefer for a wordpress site..?
The calculations of income are nice and all, but what about the (I guess) 50% people using AdBlock? How do you deal with them? Some Anti-Adblock plugin?
But isn't it better to add plugin against that? It might boost revenue by at least 20%.You won’t even notice Adblock
