PayPal Passthru with coinpayments.net

Hi folks,

I was setting up my coinpayments.net merchant account and stumbled upon PayPal Passthru which they offer apart from accepting cryptocurrencies.

For those who don't know what it is --- What it does basically is you can accept payments via Paypal but transaction will go directly to your account without additional intermediary fees. It is also well integrated to Coinpayments system (via Paypal IPN) so you will know once you received the payment and the transaction was a success. Very helpful if you are using (eg: Shopify).

I have tried to use it and it was quite impressive as it is really well integrated.

What happened:
1. client checkout
2. client select paypal
3. client can login with paypal
4. client see "paying [email protected]"
5. success message
6. coinpayment process in bg
7. shopify gets alerted after some xx mins that transaction success
8. checked my pp account and payment was there

My question is... is there anyone actually using this atm? Is it allowed by Paypal TOS?

I am planning to use it for long-term. Hope you can share some insights.

If you cheat Shopify with fees, chances are you'll get fucked up the ass, both from the back and sideways.

Although; this was a sick idea haha

Tried to use this for smm services -> after about a month paypal banned my account.

Thanks for sharing. Is it because you got high volume of disputes / fraud transactions? Or just paypal found out about it?

I bookmarked the page on Coinpayments where they explain what "PayPal Passthru" is, but it seems that page is dead now.

Are you still using this? I assume they don't offer this anymore, right?

I did not use it actually just stick with their crypto payments service.
