301 redirect

Hello, I have a question about 301 redirect, we did the 301 redirect on the same day with my competitor, today is the 4th day and he quickly got its old rankings back, but it seems that it will take me much longer to get my old rankings, for better understanding there are pictures of ahrefs;

Obviously he is doing something that speeds up the 301, but i couldn't find what that is. I tried to send organic hit to my site, i send it on google webmaster tools, sitemap is fine, if you have a suggestion, it would be awesome thanks.

Only suggestion I have is not to worry about it. If you've done the 301 correctly, it's going to get picked up soon.

Assuming google takes notice much quicker of your competitor than yours as they have the larger site... could be wrong.

Are the images the right way around then? As his site looking at the image is a bigger site than yours?

Interesting, I have done 301 for a very old site and it took a while to get the juice from the old site BUT as soon as I did more backlinks and stuff for the NEW one I got better ranking for the new one compared how was the older one, I'm not SEO expert but you may need to check with the experts here on working on the new site backlinks and not to expect everything will pass from old to new, you do need to work on the new one too as far as I know. Could it that your competitor is improving the new site somehow?

The reason why i post that ahrefs image is that his new domain gets picked up really fast and my site is really slow.

I don't think that he built new backlinks to his new domain, even if he did, it would still take weeks to see any improvement.

• How specifically did you do this? Whole site to the new root or page by page?
• How is server of the new site doing? Is it the same/weaker/stronger?

Do an audit.

• confirm that all new pages are crawlable by bots.
• check speed and load time
• check interlinks. If you are using absolute paths you are linking to the old pages and loosing juice. 301 doesn't pass all of it.

everything done correctly, whole site redirected to new domain, same hosting, pages are crawlable. speed and load time is also ok. interlinks are same

How to do all 3 of them....& which one works perfectly.

I have done 10 similar niche domains redirect from godaddy account to my 8 month old website.

Nothing has been happening as of now.

Those 8 domains have been checked completely for topical relevance, 15+ DA, clean anchors still..
5 domains were redirected to homepage & 3 others to 3 other money pages.

Definitely Ive done something which is not yielding correct results ?

Then it might be just a matter of time.

However, usually audit uncovers things we think are 100% "OK".

Though, i done audit multiple times, im going to do it again, so here's my question to you, how do you make sure your site gets crawled by google? is there any tool for that?

Yes, since you are using WMT you can use Fetch as bot feature. I think it's called URL inspection now.
