The problem is that 99 out of the 100 just don't give a flying fuck.

Finding that 1 one person who does - is the trick.

It'll cost you money because you won't find that guy the first time.

Luckly they're cheap :)

If someone is charging less than these rates - you need to do some great due diligence

Web dev = ~35$/hour
All around or saturated platforms like windows dev = ~35$/hour
Networking/security engineer = ~40$/hour
Android dev = ~50$/hour
Game dev = ~50$/hour
iOS dev = ~80$/hour

Yes, you can find cheap coders sometimes when people are in need (i.e. current times) or from countries like Ukraine/Russia (language issues but great coders), India (language issues but great coders), Pakistan, Philippines etc but if anyone is telling you that they will code for you on freelance basis for less than 10$/hour - just run, close your account and just run :D. 10$/hour cannot get you skills to design, develop, ship and maintain code. If someone have those skills - they can easily make much more than 10$/hour on a full-time job.

Edit: Ukrainian coders are some of the best I've worked with, next would be Indians probably...

Appreciated.

never release money until your satisfied there that is the milestone they have there for those guys , wtf man you're newbie or something or you hate indians

The title of this post should be- Never hire Cheap programmer.

Cheap route some time costs scam.
I have some good experience with Indian programmers. They all aren't bad. So accusing the whole Indian programmer community is wrong.
Just my 2 cent.

There really are a lot of bots on such sites, but these are not performers, but simply special programs that automatically respond with standard text to each new job offer.

And about the accusations towards the performers from a particular country - this is at least stupid, as much as it looks like overt racism.

As entertaining as this thread is/was, at the end of the day do your own due diligence.

I've been screwed over by Americans, Indians, Pakistani and also even a guy from Canada many years ago, plus a few more inbetween.

There are still people out there trying to pull a fast one, someone I know hired a writer to do Amazon product reviews 3 months back, got some good articles from him. Then kept sending the guy regular orders and discovered 2 weeks ago he'd started adding his own links into the articles.

Thread now closed.
