@ xxjack189 & popmania- Congratulations on getting your articles accepted! I just had both of mine denied because I linked to the search pages of AC and they said they wanted to do that. lol. But your posts give me hope.

@ popmania, it took exactly 7 days for them to accept my articles, this is the longest it has ever taken for me, noramlly its 3- 5 days,

and congratulations, just keep at it and your payments will increase.

@ popmania - Glad you got it sorted out. The reviews can take anywhere from a few hours to 10 days. it varies greatly depending on the niche of the content and how backlogged those particular editors are. Here lately they've been faster than ever for the most part. My review times are typically within 2 days.

@ tchashow - Yeah, they used to like when the person linked to the AC search function but they've changed things up on that. Some of the editors are still fine with it, but I try to avoid it all together now. Live and learn

yea, it makes me laugh. "Don't link to our search results pages because thats our job and we want to do it." It's not like I did it wrong or something,they just wanted to do it. They sound like a bunch of kids.

I got the idea from looking at the top authors' articles. They should at least put it in the rules somewhere that your not allowed to do that. Well neway, like you said "Live and Learn."

A question for you red: If I remember correctly, you use proxyfirewall to hide your ip. Do you use the supplied proxies that come with the software or do you load your own into it? And should I use proxies to create all my new accounts?

lol yep yep. It reminds me of a couple of 4 year olds bickering over who gets to show the Kindergarten teacher their project first.

Anyway, to play it safe, yes, you'll want to use a different IP or proxy to register each of your accounts. Proxyfirewall was just a suggestion I made because it had worked for me when I first started with AC. I'm now actually able to change my IP by resetting my modem. I'm not sure if you've tried that first, but it's definitely the most convenient. If you do go the proxy route, you can try the proxy list that comes with Proxyfirewall but they may or may not work. The best longterm proxy solution right now are Packetflip proxies, which you can find in the proxies subforum here at BHW. They cost, but at least you know you'll always have a working proxy to rely on.

If you're in the States, you can always just go with a cheap dial-up Internet service for working AC as well.

Yeah, it's definitely the best solution but it just depends on whether you have a dynamic or static IP address, each service provider is different.

hey guys I just found another software in the member download section thats similar to sonic snooper. I havent tried it out yet but it sounds interesting.

Hope it helps somebody. I'm still using sonic snooper and for those of you out there that take hours to scrape content for your rewrites or just to find content for your own unique articles, sonic snooper helped me shave off a load of time so maybe it will help you too.

I also found this GIANT PLR PACKAGE. It contains 140,000 articles.

Using the twitter method for PV's, how are you guys getting people to follow you back? I haven't done anything like this before; however, I did download that Twitter Desktop program and started adding people.

I'm guessing it was naive to think people would just follow me back.

Also for johnwrong and redtide: How many keywords are you focusing on in your articles?

I would really quickly like to thank everyone who's contributed to this thread, especially redtide.

I have only made about 12 dollars so far but I already know, as pathetic as it sounds, that this thread's changed my life. So, thanks guys.

As far as twitter go. You can't really get people to follow you if they don't want to. Just follow as many people as you can. Once a week or maybe two weeks use Twitter Karma to unfollow anyone you doesn't follow you.

@ tchashow - you rock! - keep the shares coming. I sent sonic snooper to my scraper and I'm waiting for word back on what she thinks of it. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet but it sounds like it's pretty sweet. With the plr pack, everyone needs to definitely rework them and add specifics to get them accepted. I've scraped from that pack quite a bit in the past myself, so it goes without saying how much competition and versions of the articles there are at AC already.

@ mariopits - That's awesome to hear, and you're very welcome. That blows me away to hear that. I hope it helps to give you a solid foundation in everything you do online mariopits.

As far as the keywords, you'll want to focus on one specific "keyword phrase" per article. Long tailed keywords are considered one "keyword" or keyword phrase.

With your followers, the main thing is to create an interesting "story" in your bio and profile. Add an attractive picture (not porn hot) and add a little controvery to your bio and what you're all about. Most people will follow anyone they think they can get their message out to, so by mass following/unfollowing you'll get people accepting your follow without a problem. Plus, since you aren't trying to sell them anything they're a lot more receptive to checking out your content.

Like Milly said, clear out the people that aren't following you back and rinse n repeat with more followers.

Hey everyone,

I'm glad I found this thread.

I've read the entire thing and taken notes and even have a copy downloaded. I've submitted 3 articles to AC so far. One was before I found this thread and knew that the c4c was a waste of time (it was accepted but no upfront payment). Another one was rejected, but that was before I read this thread. The final one was accepted this morning for $2.40 (give or take). It's a start, I guess. I'm buying the book in a week and I have a great niche so I hope all goes well. Thanks, Red, for starting this thread!

So I'm curious about PLR articles. It stands for Private Label Rights Articles right? However I can't really understand what they are? From what I saw they seem to be sets of articles in a niche. So there are professional level articles that can be re-written for profit, right? Or am I getting something wrong here?

So on reviews for products, since they're supposed to be personal, do we actually need list sources for these?

My logic behind it is: why would I need to list a source for a type of makeup, for instance, when the review is from personal experience?

@ tchashow - Yeah, I outsource my scraping, submissions and rewriting. In order to have it make sense profitwise you have to get to the point that you're consistently getting $5-$7+ for each of your upfronts, which again, is based on your pageview average. If not, too much of your profit is going into the outsourcers.

@ vagrance - You're welcome, I'm glad this crazy ass thread has been helpful.

Keep on tweaking what you're doing and build up your page views as time goes on, you'll get those upfront's rockin'.

@ mariopits - If you're totally new to Twitter, I would spend a few hours reading up in the "Social Networking" subforum here at BHW. Everything you need to know about the basics of setting up Twitter accounts can be found in there.

@ tchashow - Nice! thanks for taking the time to compile all of the PLR threads. Mucho much appreciated.

@ Vicious - Yes, for the most part, PLR articles are best used for adding content to blogs and for use with promoting affiliate products and such. They're free for all to us,e but do still need to be rewritten obviously.

Like I talk about and explain in my book, there are certain things you can do to PLR articles to use them for the purpose of AC, but as they come, they are much too broad to get any kind of decent offers, and will typically be rejected.

@ mariopits - You can put "personal experience" or a variance of that as your sources, but AC can still get bitchy about it and throw up rejections of "cite your sources". The easiest way to deal with it is to just get used to citing a few sources on every article in order to cut down on unecessery rejections, and time wasted.

Thanks for the advice. PLR articles really sound intriguing. With the articles I submitted today I think I am a bit closer to being able to get the things I need.

But, there is something I am confused about. Having higher page views is part of what contributes to higher upfronts. But is that the page view average or overall page views a contributor has? Because my currently my average views for content are not too high but my overall is still climbing.

It's based on your pageview average. For instance, you can have 30K page views total, which sounds like a decent amount, but it isn't if it took you 300 articles to get to that number.
