Regardless of this update, you should not use disavow tool unless you get a penalty in Google search console. No one besides google knows what is a good link and what is bad.

Maybe, but it certainly behaves as one. I had a look on the Google Support Forum which is filled with complaints (obviously) and there was this one guy that repeats the same phrase like a parrot: You need to follow Google guidelines! WHAT GUIDELINES? Google is silent, its employees (or whatever they are) seem lobotomized and we're all here either venting or complaining. Has anyone actually managed to regain the lost traffic by adjusting something on his/her website?

Yes, it does look like one, but I'm seeing many sites, even huge ones, moving between pages 1, 2, and 3. I doubt huge media websites are penalized.
LOL or it would be know as the Skunk update.

Feel you man, I have a 2.5K words article about one product (no thin content, really detailed about every littl piece of it). And I am the only one with this type of article online, nobody else has ever written this type of article. I see people commenting like - finally someone did it etc and you know what? Google pushed me from the 2nd position to the 9th position on the first page. I mean its not big though but totally stupid as I see that people are happy I did it. They spend much time on it etc and nevertheless it tanked :/ all other webpages for this term are just authority sites where you can buy this product - different shops, manufacture site etc
I think this is what G plan, they put random shop or manufacture site on top, its random. Google know online shop and manufacture have a money, they put some bait when the shop seeing traffict going high n drop (the only thing they can do only with paid traffict)
I think this is make sense, google only want money how to trick company spending at adwords

If you don't know if you have AMP or not, you probably don't have it. But to make sure you can check with "AMP validator" right on Google.

Long time ago for links but they recovered. If this update has anything to do with content/quality I can't imaging going back and edit most of the articles to fix it.

Most certainly not content quality!
Spun stuff and multiple Pinterest boards with 1 pin and no content went to the top. I'm also seeing short outdated news articles (like 5 years old!), product pages with no content at all and the product being out of stock. All that garbage is taking top 1-3 spots for pretty competitive high-volume keywords. This stuff is even outranking huge media websites! And all this is happening with keywords in all kinds of niches, with those keywords that I even search for as a Google user, I mean, the ones that are not related to my websites' niches.
Again, I see it as a pro-PBN and pro-parasite update. Many pages that are now at the top are using cheap PBN or are parasites themselves. Someone in Google must have a side hustle in selling PBN links.

Are you guys still dancing? This is ridicules, even after the update I am dancing a lot.
My suspicion is that this update is a huge money grab by google to get people to spend money on ads.
Google's losing a lot of money during the covid19 crisis and what better way to try and make a quick buck then to screw over webmasters and try to get them to up their adsense spending during this time.
I foresee google doing this again in the future whenever they need a quick boost to their quarterly earnings.

Still dancing.
I have a feeling that they still are 'playing' with this update because the dancing is crazy, never seen anything like that. Maybe something went wrong and they try to figure it out. It's strange that the 'crazy dancing' began on the day they announced that the update was 100% rolled out.

Nothing is getting indexed, nothing is ranking well & SERP's are filled with social media links, this is the new Google.
No new pages are getting indexed correctly. Once published all the tags of the page got indexed but not the page itself.
SERP's fluctuate and that is normal. But they are filled with complete garbage now. Sites with only two articles (& content quality is also zero) and zero backlink profile are ranking well and outranking well established pages. Once searched any brand name, its facebook or other social media profiles are appearing in the results rather than the brand page itself.
For quite some time Google is pushing sites like Amazon and sites with big names. And we get it, they are trying to make money for them and their share holders. But frankly speaking what is this?? That happened in this May core update?! Blogspot domains with garbage content are outranking authority sites in any niche.
The results are so frustrating that even normal internet users are complaining about it (forget about webmasters anyway).
