Refund, refund and more FKN refunds

Everyone is taking a hit from this shutdown. I don't know why you're so surprised

In all honesty, the big players I know have made more money during covid than they've ever made in a 6 month period. Some new comers started to make decent income through local solutions, like fresh food, vegetable deliveries in local neighborhoods and such. You probably came across their ads whatever country you're from.

Did you figure out something to help with the refund?
Customer support and clarity so far will do you good. From what I know the big players switched mainly to express shipping to avoid refunds and all the trouble that comes along with it. Turns out they're making a big bank with it. You might want to look more into it.

Being adaptable would be the main strategy I guess. When things are going well, it's easy to get stuck in our ways and think that good times will always go on. But when times go bad, we need to think fast and move faster. Seeing big businesses, and established brands, selling different products, leaning more on delivery and mobile solutions (when they otherwise would be location-dependent and face to face), is actually very interesting.

I'd say for everyone reading this and struggling with logistics :

1) Try suppliers that offer faster shipping (2weeks or less; around there) : CJdropshipping They can ship from the US in 5 days or so. Or ship to the US in 2 weeks or so.
Spocket.co : They have suppliers in EU and US. Definitely worth checking.

2) Move to mainly express shipping with DHL for example. You'll get lower sales but for higher margins, and faster shipping and better customer satisfaction.

I invite people reading this in this tough time of covid to really think about this option. And I leave the thought with you for considertion.

Move to Express and 2 week shipping.

Oh really what a surprise. It was absolutely not predictable also three months ago. *Irony off. There are restrictions, lockdowns etc., which are messing everything up. Even Amazon got some trouble with delivery, should be a huge red flag. Wait another two or three months until things get back to normal. This whole pandemic wiped out all the short term businesses aka dropshipping business. If you are into the long term game you will succeed mate

Go for an affiliate offer for the same product and stop worrying about shipping/customer support.

I was considering the same thing. But, if the website is already laid out like an e-com site, how to reconfigure it as an affiliate? It would mean making blog posts instead of product listings.

I have sites that look like ecommerce stores, but the "buy now"-button redirects to the affiliate offer (lol).

Probably a bad setup for conversion rate, however it was meant to be an ecommerce store at first but then I moved over to affiliate.

DHL shipping? Will that still take a while to reach the customer though? What about profit margin?

I switched all my shipping to DHL express. Considerably more expensive shipping wise but to not deal with refunds or complaints it's worth it in the short term. Delivery time is normally 2-5 days.. with pandemic about 7-10 days.

If you normally have free shipping or $4.99 shipping, you now have $19.97 (or a similar price) for DHL express shipping.

Tonnes of good advice here.

Some customers are getting packages after refunds.

Does anyone know where to get angry sounding lawyer letters for non payment?

I did have some success by calling and nicely requesting they pay a discounted PP invoice. He promised to pay by time will tell.

Solid advice there, and some nice resources to checkout.

I got a mail of customer a few hours back asking for refund and since the shipping is taking time( it's been more than 2 months, than being said of 3-4 weeks) so we got to refund now no questions asked, that's just what you eat up.

This is the reason why i closed down my deliveries to the USA and other countries besides Germany and Austria.
