What do you mean with this "wait until the 18th for the core update to complete?"

What's happening on the 18th of May and where can I read about it?

Exactly on May 18th, the hope will be lost and panic will start to kick in for those who lost their rankings on the 4th. Reality is everybody is waiting for those 14 days mark that Google said it's needed for the update to roll out. It looks to me that is finished and best case scenario they will tweak it with another ranking update at the end of the month.

Does n’t it mean that Google ’s May core algorithm will take 2 weeks to complete deployment? I think it will be completed on May 18th

I already got back my top money pages, no to the position they previously had, but close, and I'm happy for that

Medium competition KWs... I don't have great content, no great backlinks, nothing special...

The pages that were ranking without backlinks, solely on the authority of my sites did not get back, just the pages that I backlink heavily came back!

On the other hand, I agree with the members that mentioned that nothing is getting indexed as it is happening to me as well...

About 10 new posts since May 4 and none of them are indexed yet, no matter what I'd do.

I've submitted them to the Search Console many times and nothing. Created tier2 and nothing...

I guess they're not indexing ALMOST anything new until this crap update completely rolls out

Yaa, it's 150-200 clicks a day now from 10k..

Yaa, according to experts, they are saying please don't make any changes to your site because It gonna take around 2 weeks to complete shows all the results accurately.

There is no advice from anyone.. we are all in the same boat but if it makes you feel better then my sites charts look the same.. no sudden drop but constant drops over a period of time and it still continues.

Today i received 30 % less trafdic than yesterday and now my traffic total loss is 90 % and the 10 % that is left comes from third world countries.

My thoughts exactly, in fact I woke up today and had just one measly sale and that turned out to be a fraudulent purchase from someone using stolen cards, so I cancelled and refunded that, with no reimbursement of the transaction fees I had been charged. Essentially I woke up at a financial loss for the first time in 10 years.

Just spent the rest of the morning staring out of the window thinking to myself 'fuk the world!' haha... christ.

one kw which dissapeared few(2+) weeks ago, came back today on page 3...

but i doubt it will go on page 1

other kws still down

if that kw will come to page 1 or some other kw of mine will return to #1 then it will be safe to assume rankings are coming back... but atm not..

One of my websites took a 10-20% hit from the update, but it looks like I've completely recovered. The only change I made early on was improving on interlinking, which in my opinion, had little to do with it.

Btw. Has anyone indexing problems since the update? Google doesn't want to index my new URLs. - Before the update they were indexed in like 30 seconds, now they don't even show up after days. Even force indexing via. GSC doesn't work for me.

It works for me, my pages were indexed in couple of hours
