Scrapebox Email Scraper still reliable?

I just went back to using scrapebox to scrape email I bought another one for mac use but I saw that it's an add on for the additional $47. I'm not sure if it's the case before.

Are you still using scrapebox email scraper? With using proxies is it still reliable and fast?

Aside from Scrapebox? What email scraper can you recommend for scraping website emails?

There is the plugin, which is $47 and it does all sorts of stuff with extra filters and more options and other things like keeping only 1 email from a given domain as well as email verifying (which requires access to port 25).

However The main basic email scraper is still part of the main scrapebox and comes with teh standard scrapebox. Its under grab/check in the upper right hand quadrant of the main scrapebox window.

Yes I still use it and yes it works with proxies, but unless its loads of pages from the same domain you don't even need proxies. So don't use them if you don't need them as they just slow it down.

I don't have another recommendation because the scrapebox email scraper is a beast and works great so no need to try anything else for me.

@loopline, Thank you I'll try to see if I can use grab/check for now before I buy the extra plugin. Thank you for your advice on not using the proxy on the same domain. I think having a proxy is safer though it's slower.

Safer is subjective, I mean sites were built and hosted to be loaded, and scrapebox is seen as a web browser, so if anything you just look like a person browsing the site. Its just when you go to fast, faster then what a real person could do, that it becomes an issue.

But if you like a proxy thats fine too, so long as it provides the results you want. But yes its slower and more prone to timeouts and errors, but if its a private proxy it should be pretty decent on the whole, assuming its a solid proxy provider.

Hey, I’m wondering if you use the email verifying on Scrapebox. I know they have the additional plugin for this. I understand it requires port 25 to be open but from what I can see with most ISPs this is closed? How did you get around this?

• Ask your ISP to unblock it, they might
• If not they will typically let you upgrade to business internet which should allow it in most cases
• You can use a VPS/server as they don't block this
• You can get proxies that allow port 25 but these are less common then normal http proxies
• You can try other ports, but success may vary as not all mail servers support all ports.

Hey thanks very much for getting back to me and providing those helpful tips. I think I am going to go via the VPS server route, I don’t think all VPS servers keep it open but after doing some research I think there are some that do!

Do you any additional software to Verify emails or just the Scrapebox plugin?

Fair enough. You could always ask the VPS provide ahead of time. Its pretty normal for a server to send email, at least some anyway.

I only use the scrapebox plugin, no other software.

To send emails you can use Amazon SES, it seems to work well. A VPS should be just to use seo tools imho

If you wish to use an email verifier plugin tool on Scrapebox it needs port 25 to be open. A lot of ISPs block this port hence why you may need to go via the VPS route (not all VPS’ keep port 25 open)

Yes. it's worth it. You can also scrape without the plugin. I personally scraping without it.
