So, I had a little time and I decided to write a new article for the grey niche site. Ended up just over 2k words and I could also put a little more on it, took me around two hours.
This will likely be one of the smaller articles on the site.

Published it to the site and connected GSC and GA.

Site is pretty bland at the moment but will put 20 articles on before worrying about looks. The URL and brand name is quite catchy and brandable.

The idea is to just build an audience over the next year. Then take it from there.

Excited to see what this site will bring.

Going forward it should take me less time to write the articles as I created a framework and layout from this one.

Just added another article. 2400 words.

I will write another now before calling it a night. That will be a total of 7k words today.

The aim will be to do between 1 and 3 articles nightly for the first 20 articles.

I have just realised I have been checking the first page on Google for results but the results I am seeing is from the UK search.

My site is more aimed at the US search. My hosting is currently in the US. I would prefer the US market but I may just switch my hosting to the UK and make this the authority in the UK.

I am tempted to leave it how it is, though, and hit the US market.

Total today 7k words. Three articles.

Site 1 - Grey niche - 7k words on site.

Site 2 - legit site in the law niche. Ordered a 3k word super article and 20k word which will be a rewrite of a site ranking number one.

For site 2 I may combine the articles into longer articles instead of 55 short ones like they are.

Once all articles are delivered I will put all the articles onto the site, optimise it. I will look for more resources for new content then get another 20k words ordered.

That point onwards I should have more articles and keywords than any other site in the top 10 for the specific niche in law that I should 'technically' be the authority.

I should be able to beat off 8 - 10 with some decent links. Number one has some strong links. I will likely be looking to SplishSplash and MisterF in the next 8 weeks or so to power the site up.

Wrote another article for my client. I will complete another tonight.

I spent the last couple of hours setting up the website for site 1. Looking nice. I have also ordered 3 x private PBN links which will go live from next month. Two to start with then the third will follow shortly after.

More or less just finished a ten thousand word super article.

I took the 8k word article from a competitor, made it longer and better.

It will be interesting to see if and how this ranks.

I will stick it on-site one tomorrow and that will take it to 17k words in four days.

Competitors site had an 8k word super article.

I rewrote it and add 2600 words.

My home page article is now 10600 words. Making it the longest and most informative article on the web for this niche.

I have added it to my site, tomorrow I will add in around 20 pictures and alt tags, etc. Then I will get back to the other 20 articles I need on it.

My blog articles are around 2200 word each. I am thinking to now push that up to or around 3-4k words per article.

25 articles at that length will be around 75 - 100k words plus the mega home-page article 100k+ words.

And them 25 articles are just the start. Hopefully, this site will see over 500k words.

Site 2 is still awaiting content.

Website 2

Four articles, three standard and one home page 10600 word article.
Got the OK to send some decent PBN links to this so will add them in the next months or two.
Link building strategy will involve web2.0s and lots of social signals., on top of the PBNs. Then some quality backlinks probably from MisterF and Webminati.
Over this bank holiday weekend, I will aim to put another 10k word on it. More if I can.

Monetization will be an eBook, I will start writing it when I hit 30k words of content on the site, plus white labelling depending on where the bulk of the traffic comes from, should be the US.
Total word count - 17800

Website 1
Content should be coming soon. Once it lands I will go through it all and make any changes and adjustments. It should be around 15k words.
Already ordered and paid for three decently strong PBN links. They will go live mid-June. I will take some links from MisterF and Webminati for this as well.
I may also connect some GMBs to it.
Monetization will be rank and rent, more likely to be selling leads, then selling SEO to the other guys on the second page of Google.

Two different sites, two different strategies of monetization, two entirely different lengths of content.

Site 1.

The main article landed. 4k words, very informative. Nothing on the top 10 results even comes close to this amount of content in one article. They barely touch 700.

Going to go through it and reorganise plus make a few edits. Not sure whether to put it on the home page or create a page for it and stick it on the menu bar, leaning towards this option.

The site was on a USA hosting plan even though it is aimed at the UK. Bought a new hosting plan and it is currently being migrated over.


Site 2.

Planned to write more content for it but had a chill two days with the kids and life in general. Ordering some forum links and posts.
I will add another 5k word article tomorrow.


In other news;

I have had another idea for a physical job. I may invest some money in starting a coding school. One complete weekend 10 - 5 Saturday and Sunday teaching people the core concepts -
of coding in Swift, make four apps over the course of the weekend. I will primarily aim it at people who are interested in coding but do not have any experience it and CS students.

The place where I did my Bootcamp has a few classrooms, they have tonnes of Macbook pros and they are closed on the weekends. Sounds perfect, they have become like a family to me -
I will throw a business plan together and present it to a few of the directors and see if they are interested in helping me with using the equipment to kickstart it off.

I will aim to do two weekends a month, ten to fifteen students per course. Obviously this will have to wait until we are out of lockdown but gives me more time to think it through and build the syllabus.

Nothing serious but it is Ramadan, fasting 17 hours a day isn't easy.

Site 1

Added the 4k word article after formatting it. Website is starting to look good. The rest of the articles are on there way which should be a juice 20k words - ish, or close to.

PBN links kick in another three weeks.

Site 2

I have decided to make all articles which are related to each other combined articles instead of single articles. Each article should be around 5k words. It just means there will be less of them but I should imagine this won't be an issue.

Plan

I am back to working nights this week. Starting from tonight I will make the adjustments to the articles already on site 2 and start a new set of articles. I will aim to add 5k words tonight.

You know what, I actually do not eat a lot normally. It just the water lol. Keeping hydrated throughout the day makes a big diff!

Either way, I know where I aim to be and what it will take.

Minimal work done on personal projects as I started a new project in work. This took up a lot of time, plus I have been procrastinating lately. Sometimes it is needed!

Site 1.

Website is up and functional. All the important pages are on. I have received around 40 rewrites for the blog page.

Plan - I am not happy with the theme. I have found a much more professional looking on one ThemeForest, so I will buy it, apply it and start adding in the blog posts. This website should be completed in the next ten days.
After that, I will make the plan for link-building, etc.

Site 2

Again, not happy with the theme. I will look to change it at some point next week. Still only around 17k words on it. this is fine for now as it is more of a long-term, on the side projects.


In other news, I have come across a search term with some potential. Only four-six results from the allintitle search and the volume is around 1 - 2k. The term is for buying a product which means I could
essentially, create a brand from it and launch an eCom store. I need to do a little more research to make sure I have found what I think I have. If so, I will build an eCom store ASAP, populate it with products and once it starts getting hits I will possibly look to white label products.

It is an interesting project, if so.

Update.

Site 1

Content arrived a few days ago and hadn't really looked through it. I started going through the articles today and overall I am having to pretty much rewrite every single one. I did pay for rewrites, unfortunately, the service wasn't up to scratch. Which is a shame as the first 4k word article was really good.

Anyway, I am back on the grind. I have added two articles to the site, and it also has the super article.

Upgraded the theme and it looks much more professional.

This week and weekend I will continue to rewrite the rewrites and add them on, luckily they aren't very long. The average length is 500 words.

Looking to complete this site over the coming weekend.

Site 2

On hold for the foreseeable. I will likely start it again in around a week when all the above articles are done and on-site 1. I am still looking forward to this as it will be an authority in the next year, I think.

I have a few more sites I want to try and test out. I will finish the above two first, though. Once done they can settle in and I can work on link-building and authority building while building on my new ideas.
