Warning before bumping old threads

i reported 1 guy the other day for bumping 37 threads from mid
2019 couple of days ago. 37 of his 40 posts that day where all 2019
thread bumps

Would be great if it was possible, would remove a lot of the report section workload too.
There are a few Xenforo add-ons that add a warning to the reply box when the thread is older than some admin-defined time limit. They normally doesn't lock the thread per-se, but they do sometimes force the person replying to check a box to acknowledge that the thread is old and that it would be better to start a new thread.

Old Thread Warning 2.1.3:

Yes that would be great. Sometime on mobile people not care to see date of thread. So it will be great

Turn your mobile device sideways (landscape) and it should show the date.

Not a mobile device guy but have used it in the past for a few different reasons.

+1 to this. I have done it myself in the past. Although I never received any warning, it made me look completely dumb. When you are on desktop, the thread date is clearly visible; but for mobile view; it is not that obvious. This would be a nice feature to have.

I never use that mode except for when I am playing a video, or I am checking some responsive code I have placed. In this mode, the vertical space is very low; and it is a pain to scroll like this. :)

I bet he must be newbie.

Whilst the decision to implement this isn't up to me, I do like the sound of a warning that comes up whenever someone is about to respond to a thread that hasn't had a response in over 2/4/6 months.

I've added as an item to look into once BHW 2.0 is live. I'll post in this thread again if this suggestion gets implemented.
