Yes, update on the 9th/10th. I've yet to see a single site get a boost from that update. Everyone is down by about 5-30% that i've seen.

I think Google should shut their search engine and list the organic results in Youtube at the end of videos.
What's the point in filling the organic search results page with all those videos. I don't get it.

You have to remember Google constantly runs tests to see what people in general want. These days people prefer to watch a video rather than read a long post - which usually includes tons of useless filler text.

..and they own YouTube, but I'm sure that had nothing to do with that decision.

Yes, but it could be 10 sites are up 1% and 1 is down 10%. It's not just a one for one replacement.

This doesn't mean much. Number 1 for what? You have 5000+ articles, so you must be ranking for more than 1 keyword.

Quick maths doesn't tell you anything. You have a population size of 1 in your statistical analysis.
