Should i buy this expired domain?

I found this expired domain which has really good and clean metrics except for one which is it has been used for one 301 redirect in 2018. Should I buy it or skip it? Please suggest asap.

1st year the site was up and running and the 2nd year it was redirected to a similar niche site(not spam site)..the next year it was dropped..now its available for register.

The backlink history is clean and anchors are only brand anchors, no keyword anchor is there, I'm not considering DR, DA and trust flow here as I like the domain name and it has links from forbes and digital.nyc

Yeah, Particularly if I consider buying a Forbes link in the latter phase of my journey and it would not cost less than $1000. I think i will go for it. Thanks for the advice.

Check with backlink profile, history and anchor text, if it legit then give it a try.

Go for it and don't look back.

You will never have 100% of certainty of the quality of a domain until you start using it. You will learn to buy better domains through experience if you know the basics.

In fact, if you grow, you will start bulking and your quality over picking right ones could decrease sometimes for not checking enough.

301s are harmless and have no impact of the cleanliness of the domain. They are a 1-way filter. Domain can pass a penalty via 301, but can't get it. Still, I would avoid domains, that were redirected to some suspicious crap. Just in case.

Also, if you have 0 experience with domain checking, that domain might as well be completely screwed up or weak. Especially if it's a domain for free registration.

These domains are valuable when they have a standard affiliate profile (with no updated anchor text) associated with your website and they have not been used to spam before.

Would have been worse if it was $2K
The fastest I scroll the highest is the risk although, time is saved during the process. I can't trust anyone to buy domains, brokers will fail 99% of the times, otherwise, commissions will be way higher than a $200 seldom loss.
One has to outweigh the pros and cons of everything

PS: Same loss a bunch of commodities from my POV, I would have reinvested them in any other domain, not a great deal.

If the backlinks are clean like you say then check on wayback machine and if it’s clean there then go for it

As long as it's not spammed to death, it can work. Check that the domain is not penalized as well as the money site it was targeting.
